I have a mobile detailer guy wash my blk/blk IS F once a week and every fourth visit (or once/month), he does a very fine polish and wax job. I've never had black paint look this good, so for me, it's worth the extra money.
I agree with the other guys that location is a big part of it. I'm very close to the Pacific in L.A., so I'm extra careful.
