As topic implies how often should I get this car waxed?
Or does it depend on the owner, weather etc..
Whats your opinion on it, IS-F owners out there..and in general car owners..
My F is 3 months going 4 end of July..

It totally depends on where your from, whether you drive in sanded/salted roads, if you leave near a body of salt-water, how often you drive, how often you wash it :) I personally wash my car about once a week and wax it nearly once every 1-3 months depending on the weather and whether or not it has been out in the Texas sun for a long time. A few good sites for washing or waxing info are

I have a mobile detailer guy wash my blk/blk IS F once a week and every fourth visit (or once/month), he does a very fine polish and wax job. I've never had black paint look this good, so for me, it's worth the extra money.

I agree with the other guys that location is a big part of it. I'm very close to the Pacific in L.A., so I'm extra careful.

Hope this helps!
Well I'm in Towson MD Area..It's Hot out here and I do live the car outside on the sun I hate to admit..So I guess I have to really decide whether it's every 3 months or every 6 pending on the weather condition..Mine is a Starfire Pearl which is hassle on the cleaning..I drive this thing, let's say every day and a half it's gonna require cleaning at least..

I live in Southern California. I use Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detailer on my Smoky Granite Mica ISF about once a week (or as needed). It is an excellent, excellent product, and I highly recommend it. It was actually recommended by my service advisor at my Lexus dealer, who is really into restoring old muscle cars as a hobby.

It takes me about 15-20 minutes to detail the entire car with the product. Like it says on the bottle, it is called "the missing link between washing and waxing." It does a very good job, and once I am done, the car looks like new, almost like it just drove out of the showroom. I always get compliments on how clean I keep my car.

I keep a bottle of it, with a microfiber towel (again, I prefer Meguiar's towels), in my trunk - I always use Quik Detailer the second I notice bird droppings, garden sprinkler water, etc... on the finish. With the warm southern California climate, stuff like that can get baked on, and as a result, damage the finish.

I take the car to the car wash (always hand wash - it's my personal preference) about once every two weeks or so (sometimes once a week, depending on how dirty the car is). I have the guys at the car wash wax it about once a month or so.
