Hi Jeff,
Would you mind taking a moment and describing how your IS-F has been performing for you all around since you bought it? There has been some discussion about buying a car with miles on it on the LexusF forum and I wonder if you could dispell some of the misconceptions especially about this bullet proof car. Thanks!
Sure. I bought my IS-F with 3,700 miles on it. I've had it for approximately two months and now have approximately 5,200 miles. I have not had any problems with it other than the passenger front window rattling a bit, which can be fixed with some silicone spray, no problem. My Acura TL had exactly the same issue.
So far no other glitches and it isn't consuming any oil. I was a little worried about how well it was cared for by the previous owner, but so far so good. If people are interested I can keep posting updates.
It is nice not to have to be completely obsessed with keeping the car perfect as it already had small rock chips and such. Of course it was nice to save the money up front too! It made the car much more affordable for me.
I previously had a 96 ES300 which was the most reliable car I've ever owned. It only had one minor problem during my 3 years of ownership and was a wonderful (albeit slightly boring) car. I have not found my IS-F the least bit boring
Hope this helps. If anyone has any specific questions feel free to ask.
Jeff
