I am seriously considering an IS F and thought this would be a great place to start. I just sold my beloved Crossfire SRT-6 as I need more room and I have my eyes set on a smoke IS F that is up for sale.

Hi Steve, welcome in! I have 2010 IS-F's available should you decide to look at a new one. Just let me know!

Depends on what you are after? This is a purpose built performance sedan and rides a bit stiff. It will give you 29mpg on the highway all day long and still run high 12's low 13's consistently. It fits 4 only and the rear seat is divied with an insert. The baby seat fits great too :)
I LOVE MINE!!!!!

Nice, it rides smoother than my SRT as that was sprung very stiff. I drove an IS F last week and it fit like a glove and was very responsive. I love the exotic sound of the exhaust.

Good luck and I promise you will not be disppointed. Plus its a very exclusive care. I see M3's all day long and have only seen 2 other F's between Dallas and Fort Worth.

I agree. How do you like your Borla exhaust? In what way do you feel it changed the exhaust note?
Oh Ya! Its nasty. Its not droning though and that was my concern. I think I might add a little Dyna-Mat in the trunk under the carpet to drown out the low end though but WOW!

NICE! I bet when you start that baby up, people are surprised to hear that!!
Its nice to see someone who had an SRT cross shopping the Lexus normally all we here is trash talk from that camp.

The sound is amazing, get some exhaust and headers and no one will ever think its a lexus coming. Even stock is awesome but a tad too quiet for me.
I can't wait to get a hold of mine. If have to say, with the mods I had on my SRT, it was very fast and would surprise a lot of people. Like any forum, people are passionate (and sometimes defensive) of their cars and I cannot talk bad about the SRT. I am looking forward to the new chapter in car ownership with the IS F as I believe I will be very satisfied.

the crossfire has the same engine as the C32 amg if I'm not mistaken? or was it the SLK?
It was the SLK motor and with the mods I had, I was between 350 and 360hp at the wheels. It was absolutely instant response and was a blast to drive. Chrysler was forced to under rate the output to save face with all the dedicated Mercedes owners out there. The group of SRT owners were a great support for what mods worked well and which did not as there was not a lot of aftermarket out there. Some owners went to companies to start group buys to get things frabricated at reasonable prices. I see there is not a lot out there for the IS F's but that suits me fine as I will be purchasing an extended warranty and do not need any issues.
