Are you sure? There was a rumor there was one a while back but I checked and they said there wasn't. Can you get a number?
I'm looking into it, but have not heard of anything yet...
yes ther is but ill get the number for you guys ther putting a bigger pully on i whent in like 3 times for the same thing
what were you experiencing that made you go in for service?
well going in to scenod gear while geting on it hard it screaches and gets worse and worse
Interesting, I'll listen closely next time but haven't heard anything out of the normal yet, did you end up finding a number?
I've seen the TSB (TSB2618) for the new accessory drive belt tensioner assembly.

Some customers may experience an abnormal noise from the engine accessory drive belt area. An improved accessory drive belt tensioner assembly has been developed to keep the tensioner pulley in alignment with the other pulleys. If the tensioner pulley is out of alignment, use the procedure in this bulletin to address the customer’s concern.

It's for all these vehicles:
2008 GS 460
2008 IS F
2007-2008 LS 460
2008 LX 570

Unless it's making noise there isn't anything to worry about. FYI - this is the Canadian TSB.

so does this affect the 2009 is-f? your list says 2008 is-f.
Lexus may have changed up the belt assembly for 2009 but I couldn't be sure.
If no one finds out before Monday, I'm going to the dealership then for service and will ask for ya
thanks bigmike... i'll check up to see what you find out
Yes it was only the first 500 made they said and it was on the LS GS to with the V8s they didn't give me any paper work for it all they gave me said a belt and a belt tensioner
i hope so, that means i don't have to take my car in then
I just dropped off my car at the dealership and they said they didn't have a TSB for my car (purchased in late June) and he said there wasn't one on the few 09's that are out. I asked him to ask around anyway to be completely certain and he said he would check it out and let me know.
thanks for the follow up bigmike! keep me posted on what they say about the 09.
He didn't have a record of anything on the 09's. He said since so few were out, they had no noticeable problems

On a side note, the Lexon front lip looks bada**! completely changes the front look of the car
Cool...saves me a trip to the dealer bitchin at them!
