If it's your hard earned money, and hard work, reward yourself.
As for the LS, it's an amazing car, but it's not fun to drive unfortunately. Get the F, you'll thank us later!
Wow! what a tough predicament to be in. I can imagine the your father has had a lot of influence on you through life and has helped facilitate getting you where you are today. That being the reason for him telling you what car you should own. A couple of facts you can use to your advantage IF the conversation comes up again. The V8 engine in the IS-F is a direct relative of the Lexus LS. The 8 speed transmission and rear end gearing are direct relatives out of the Lexus LS. The reliability, re-sale value and quality of materials are all on par with the LS. The IS-F's are all built in the Tahara plant in Japan, same place as the LS. Tell him it is just a small version of the LS, kind of a pre-cursor to the LS is you will.so i went to show my folks the isf tonight...
and upon arriving the showroom, my dad spotted the LS and said...
if you get the LS instead of the ISF, he'd paid for the price difference...
which also means, he 'doesn't approve of' the isf...
now i know it's my money and i should buy the car that'll make me happy
but happiness is not measured only during my daily commute
happiness in life also includes a non-disgruntled dad
and the LS is a very very nice car... just maybe not what i imagined for myself... now...
it's just very hard taking car advice from someone who would say the mb s class is the only worthwhile mb out there (without having driven any of the current mb cars)... and that the LS is a better car for me because my clients would prefer riding in the LS... (ok, a little bit about myself, i'm a third year attorney who just left the government sector and am starting out in the private sector... while i agree that the ride is suprior in the LS back seat... i don't mind having that car 5 years down the road...)
torn...
There's no GS-F coming next year... unfortunately! If you can wait till next summer, then go and get the new GS-F when it arrives in late 2009If you didint' see it the pics are in the Sema show although the car wont look "exactly" like that one, you'll at least get :::
1) To be one of the first to buy and have a GS-F
2) Big enough for you your family and some clients, you can have a gorgeous
car to go to those power meeting or power lunches!!!
3) Your dad wont tell you but if you got the GS-F he take it out while your sleeping for the night for a test while your sleeping, 500 + hp and he'll rekindle those 60's moments
The sport buttonnow to learn all the bells and whistles on the isf...
any functions/gadgets on the car that y'all found very interesting?
