:) Happy Easter everyone!

hello everyone! First off, I just want to say that I am glad I found this forum!Everyone's posts & replies to each other seem good natured and helpful. I amthisclose to owning the IS-F.

Here's my quick bio and intro of where I stand with the IS-F....

Me and the wife are just waiting for escrow to close and to move in our home in NorCal. We just moved from Irvine, CA down from Orange County about 6 months ago. I am originally from the BAy Area but spent my college and military years (USMC) down in So CaL. Once we move in and get settled, I plan to treat myself with an IS-f purchase as I have been waiting patiently and saving for that extra cash to put as down payment! LOL

Now my questions regarding the IS-F....
Is there anything I should be concerned about/ know about/or inquire to the dealer when I make my IS-f purchase?? planning to buy either new or used....I'm looking for anything available- my searches for an IS-f up here have been pretty scarce.....anyone have info/knowledge for where to look for them here in the Bay Area- don't hesitate to let me know...I'm willing to drive upto 2 hours away...

also, How many IS-f owners drive their cars at least 3-4 times a week? I had to talk my wife into the purchase just as long as she would be able to use the car for her car as to drive to work. (She has a shorter commute-about 13 miles each way) My commute is about 23 miles each way but I only work 4 days a week.

I also have a Honda Fit (33 MPG) which we use most often but my wife saw the IS-f at the showroom and said she would help me buy it as a b-day present just as long as she was able to drive it also.LOL Of course I said yes to my wife. We also have an Acura MDX which serves as the "all purpose" car. Lastly, my 98' Camaro SS served as my weekend/toy car.....i know i know....it'll be a big change going to the IS-F....whew...that's all....let's just say I'm excited about the IS-F and the search for one isn't helping me calm down either! LOL

lastly Good to be here!

Welcome! What part of the Bay?

As for IS F allocations...the larger dealerships will have them of course. Longo Lexus here in SoCal has four 2009's in their inventory. You can check with their sister dealership Lexus of Stevens Creek in San Jose to see what they have.
Welcome to the site. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. People are really friendly on this site.

My F is my daily driver so I commute in it 4 days a week. As long as you don't have it in sport mode, it dawdles in traffic pretty well. The ride is pretty firm, so you might want to test drive it on your commute to make sure it doesn't bother you.

Thanks everyone! Flipside- I live in the North BAy....I was in the IE for a little bit also....i spent 2 years @ RCC to play football before transferring out....J.Taylor- I'm glad to know that someone uses the IS-F like how you do! Now i just gotta decide on the color........
Oh yeah? what part of the North Bay? 951 here!
Welcome to the site HersheySF and thanks for your service!

Please feel free to continue asking any questions you might have, if someone on here doesn't know the answer (which is doubtful), then we can find it for you!

I drive my F 7 days a week as it is my daily driver. I couldn't be happier with it and it has held up remarkably well. The quality, reliability and service of Lexus and their dealerships is second to none and I have a feeling your going to really enjoy an F. Have you test driven one yet? If you do, make sure you put it in sport mode and flip the stick to manual so you can really see what the car can do. Enjoy and let us know if you have any other questions
Thx BigMike, I will most def. try that when I test drive. I have an appointment for a meeting at a dealership in 2 weeks. Stepping onto the Lexus dealerships have been a WAYYYY different experience than as compared to when I visit a Chevy dealership. No knock on the Chevy guys here as I am one (owning a 98 SS) but the Lexus experience of dealing with business there really IS top notch.

Hey Flipside, I stay in Green Valley area of FF. Are you local also?
Haha nice. 707 in the house. I have many friends that live that way. Hit up Baldo's for late night Horchata and Carne Asada fries and It's a good alternative to Alberto's or Los Jilberto's out in Riverside. If you like roast beef/french dip sandwiches...hit up Joe's Buffet in town.
I've already tried Baldo's & it's masarap!! LOL...when the IS-f gets here I will let u know. Thx for all the info. NOw I'm bouncing around dealerships trying to price them out.
Welcome HersheySF. I would HIGHLY suggest that you pick up a used 08' (or perhaps used 09' - if any exist). You can get something with less than 10k miles in the mid 40's. Just my opinion...
