yeah, that was the other car i was looking at before the F, but all the local and semi-local benz dealerships couldn't produce one for a test drive, so i passed. wasn't gonnaorder one on spec..

since that time, i have only seen one on the road coming from the opposite direction and i knew it was the c63amg, even before i saw the back end. it looked sick.

enjoy your car, and i personally can't wait until i run into another one on the thruway and see what all the fuss is about...

Wow nice upgrade. Black Series is an amazing machine.

Good luck; I personally would not own any Mercedes. Make sure you don't put anything with liquid it it in that cup holder. There are sensitive electronics underneath.

Hope you got a killer deal on the Benz otherwise you are gonna cry in the future when you plan on trading it in. Most mercedes lose half within two three years, most cars do too but when you lose half on a 100k car its a heart attack over losing half on a 35k car.

Yes, I must agree that it is a beautiful vehicle. I can't justify that price at this point in time though. I will have to upgrade my F's performance to match it instead of buying a car at its level. That widebody is wicked.

The cinematography was beautiful in that video, and my goodness that car is AMAZING.

As far as I know, at least in Canada, they are the same price, + or - couple of hundred.
If you can afford the F you can afford the AMG.
Just my 2 cents.
Ohhh and no way would I ever buy a Mercedes, I have a few friends that have them, I have been told you should not even look at a Mercedes the wrong way because they might just decide to brake down on you for looking at them the wrong way.
My F has 42000 km so far, I am at the track almost weekly, besides that I cant keep up on tires, rotors and pads, not a single thing is ever been wrong with it, and lets not forget it was made in Japan.

Here in the US, the F is about $60k USD. The CLK63 AMG Black Series is approximately $130k USD. Big difference

Are you thinking of the C63? That would be a lot closer and I looked at the C63 before buying my F. If you compare oranges to oranges with the same options C63 vs. F, the C63 ends up being a few thousand more. The last C63 I saw on the local dealer inventory was $71k.

You said it, man! Mercs have poor reliability. My mother-in-law took her brand new merc to the shop three times for transmission problems. I can't figure out why she wouldn't get rid of the car. It's probably the brand name...

Very very nice...I'd be afraid to park it anywhere but my garage tho. Saw a guy on mbworld with a white one for sale, 1400 miles, for 99K.

For my dough, that's my F, a loaded '09 F150 4x4 for winter driving, and a nice Ducati or Harley.

Mondo, great car to say the least, a beast and a half too. One word of caution though especially if you have Pirellis on them. My friend had a brand new silver one and we went on a fun run, on the high way I was behind him and the car started to twitch then smoke came out and before we knew it the left rear tire split into two, just like what you see in F1. It was nuts! Thank God we were only doing about 140kph then. Imagine if it happened while we were gunning the cars.

The CLK had less than 800 milles on the odo. Last he recalled was he must have driven over a piece of rock about the size of a fist. We had to put the car on a flat bed and aksed his Alpina B10 brought to him to continue with the run.

But even with what i saw, if I could, I'd still get one. What a beaut!
