I can't roll down the passenger and left right window from my control but they will roll down from their own seperate controls....can't roll them down from key only my window and back left and sunroof. Also, checked my oil with 300 miles and its low right at the first dot mark on dipstick:confused:

I traded in my Audi s4 to buy a more reliable car and now this????

That's the dealers' fault!! My dealer does an inspection and a test drive of every single vehicle it sells to ensure this or any other problems NEVER occur. They call it the "Pre-delivery Inspection".
The only problem I have had has been window related as well. Perhaps its a silver/black only issue? I don't think its Lexus' fault though.....windows worked great until I had them tinted. Upon first use after tinting, the seals at the bottom of two of my windows got sucked down into the inner door whcih caused the windows to not open and close. Lexus says its the tinters fault and the tint shop says they've never seen that before. As this is the 7th car this tint shop has done for me, I tend to believe them over Lexus.

Anyway, Lexus charged me $157 for the damn seal and the tint shop agreed to pay for half. Must say, my first experience with the world-famous service Lexus is known for was not a happy one.
Sounds like the automatic windows just need to be reprogrammed. The dealer should be able to handle it.
The window switches need to be initilized. Really easy to do !! Should have been done by your dealership. Power on the vehicle, go to the door to the door that the windows are not working, using the switch on that door, open the window ALL the way down, and then close it ALL the way up. Do that on all for 4 window's and you will not have an issue again.

As far as the oil being low, that again should have been handled by your dealership in the "Pre-Delivery Inspection"
thanks for the info. Windows work as advertised.
Once again ISFChamp comes thru with great advise. I wish I lived in his state. You rock Champ
Gas gauge not showing full. ONly 3/4 with a full tank.
anyone else with this issue?

About the gauges, a friend of mine had that problem with a car of his recently (not an Is-f, or a Lexus) and it just means the air in the gauge is off. He fixed it pretty quick at his dealership i think. Anyways, not sure if that is the problem, but i hope that helped.
Anyone have a strange experience with the VDIM kicking on in a jerky way when you're turning right, slowly, into a driveway? I notice if I go very slowly (to avoid bottoming out) and turn at an angle into a driveway on my right, the car's VDIM kicks in and jerks the car somewhat as I'm slowly accelerating up the driveway.

It's almost as if the VDIM thinks I'm losing traction or something on this maneuver?

Happens almost every time, and I'm assuming it's a programming issue, but just curious if others have experienced this?
Hey rushnut, I have experienced this a couple of times while angling for driveways, 1st time I thought I bottomed out.

TNX, Lextasy, I'll certainly run that by the dealer when I there for my first o/change.
Cheers

I think I had the same kind of thing. I was going down hill exiting a parking lot and then turning right. I didn't see the VDIM light come on, but it felt like the car was sort of stalling out. I was going quite slow so I kind of felt like maybe due to the angle I was on when I came to the roadway that I had little or no weight on a wheel so the VDIM kicked in....
maybe it noticed or thought you guys were going through some wheelslip? so it backed off the throttle and/or braked individual wheels?
Bulls,

Yeah, that's exactly how it felt--like a correction was being made (in a very jerky way) for a perceived wheelslip detection, which really wasn't there.

I wonder if the dealer will be able to do anything about it when I get this thing in for a 5k-mile service in a month or two?

Thanks in advance for your help!
couldn't hurt to ask. maybe doing it in 2nd gear instead of first might help? thats what snow mode does; it starts you in 2nd instead of 1st.

slightly off-topic, but have any of you had any problems with ground clearance?
No problems with ground clearance yet. I had a bit of trouble judging the front valence the first day though. I parked at a gas station trying to leave lots of room and to my embarrassment had the valence over top of the curb barrier by 2 inches. Good thing I didn't have a ground clearance issue - that would have sucked. Too bad Canada doesn't have the parking sensors....
The only issues I have had was where some places have the higher parking stoppers... That, and pulling into a high pitched driveway too.

Yes they would have been very handy at times.
