Fijitsubo isF exhaust

Just saw a Fijitsubo titanium cat back exhaust in this months import tuner on the isF in the article. Fijitsubo is a super high end exhaust company. Anyone have specs, price, sound clips or power gain figures for the exhaust... In the article the pictures show it to retain factory design but it looks like bigger piping, removed sec. cats, and obviously high flow mufflers. Not big on the two cannon design they went with in the back like Tanabe, but this is a full exhaust system.

Also have seen a huge thread on clublexus about the HKS axel back coming out soon that looks sick but big money!!!

I have never heard of a Fujitsubo exhaust for the IS-F other than the custom one-off on the Tein USA demo IS-F
That would be great if they release on as they usually make top quality exhaust and titanium would save some weight :)
I made a Ti can axle back and it seemed no one was interested in saving 20lbs. Still looking at other options, but with the way this market is responding to aftermarket offerings, I would be surprised if there is much demand given other platforms that would yield more customers.

Is the car a blue isF that was import tuner? it doesnt have very much tein advertising on it.

I think what happened is that the axle back you made didn't come with power gains of the other companies and the factory tips should probably have been retained. I also don't believe too many were fond of the canisters sticking out, but a 20 lb reduction is certainly nice and I can only imagine how many lbs you could save on a full exhaust! Perhaps if you had done a full titanium cat-back exhaust utilizing the factory tips or something similar to the ISS Forged you would have made a winning exhaust IMO.

Same as Caymandive on your Ti exhaust Fig, I don't like the look of the exhaust, I prefer the design of the JoeZ that retains the original diffuser with 2x2 tail pipes

Your phrase is missing words. That is the one I was referring to : http://teinusa-blog.com/future-import-tuner-magazine-feature/
Yeah the problem is there are very few full ti canister options to be sourced. And these HKS universal cans are just too long to hide behind the stock valance. I am considering manufacturing my own, but I just do not see the demand behind it and it will not be cheap. How many units has ISS forged really sold for their efforts?

Like I said, I have not given up yet, I continue to look for more options even after 2 years at it. I think the problem is so many people want a lot of different things....something I am trying to address. I will probably offer a custom configurable system that lets you pics from a few options while keeping the bends etc consistent.

I mean is this really so bad? The sound is outstanding IMO for a axleback.

Yeah the exhaust really does look bad IMO. Just not very clean looking and too similar to the standard IS.

I have no idea how many units ISS forged has sold and from what I can see on the forums is probably the 3rd most popular exhaust behind PTS JoeZ and Borla. I don't know how much it would cost to do a full titanium exhaust, but if one were created I am certain it would be the number one most sought after exhaust for this car with the huge weigh savings. My guess is that people probably wouldn't want to spend more than twice the amount they normally pay for the other brands so that may be the deal breaker if production costs are too high.

I guess my point was that the Fujitsubo exhaust was the same "style" as my proto, so that would speak to them making a production version. I had also started to make a carbon valance, but got little feedback so I moved on to other things. I still have a lot of money in this so I want to see something come out of it, its been hard to get a gauge of preferences since they are so spread out.

I will probably do a thinwall sus piped ti can version that will be very close to full ti weight, this 20lbs was just with standard 0.062 wall. This should keep the cost down.

I had to make custom spun ball flanges to accept the stock gasket and it would be very hard to replicate in Ti.

darn it, now I am all motivated again.

Just did a quick mock up on the rear bumper model I already have in CAD. kinda a slant oval design.

edit, just did a better render.

I remember suggesting that set up a long time ago when the ISS Forge was first posted here because I didn't like the round tips. Just couldn't find that thread anymore..
i really like that, its like a real stock tip set up, i hate how our exhaust tips are fake but i love the style. i really wish we had an exhaust that was X-pipe true dual all the way back like joe z and then had real tips like iss forged but the tips looked like the stock fake tips...
^^^Fake Tips? Look at the tips on an LS460. Are they fake to?

Lou
they are defiantly fake on the 460... people are buying the tips and installing the on acura TSXs
