Has anyone considered or installed a row of led tach lights maybe 5-7 of them starting at green then yellow , red at the point of where the dashboard and windshield are , that way you can keep your head up while your tracking

are you aware that the car will give a beep as you approach the redline? no need for the lights, just listen for the beep!

any pictures? it's a good idea. the OEM audible alert is a joke.
No pics , just think it might be a nice idea , im fully aware of the beep but im pretty sure the light bar will engage you more
This would be kinda cool and would help the driver out a little big more. I am yet to see this done an on F but it is an interesting concept. I would use white lights to start, then blue then red to match the gauge cluster ;)
Sound cool, but make sure to cover the lights so they can't be seen from in front of the car. Many states don't allow for colored lights to be visible from outside the car, it may be misconstrued as an emergancy vehicle lights.

Just a heads up.
If you put in a small LED shift light, that will help out, I agree, the "beep" is a waste.
any of u dealers figure out how do turn off the beep yet.
I thought both the tach and the speedo had coloured rings that could be configured to different speeds and rpms, like green, yellow and red or something... or is that only on the X50s?
Mica, something exactly like ecliptech but installed at eye level where the dash and windshield meet. Again to aid in keeping your eyes on the road when tracking, bmw has an m option steering wheel that has a row of lights imbedded inside the wheel right along the top

I forgot about this on other models! I didn't notice this on my ISF! Even the convertible looks like it has it... Why would Lexus skip this on their fastest car?

because the ISF runs at such fast warping speed that all colors would blur and blend together.:D
