We have not released our final version. We are going to test our header up against theirs and see how they do. after that we will decide if this will be the production version. We strive to have the absolute BEST products on the market. So we want to be 100% positive that our headers are better fitting, better designed, and make more power than Sikky. I am confident that my engineer and I can come up with an even better design than we currently have! Stay tuned!

Well right now the supercharger kit is the most important thing on the list. It is taking awhile and I know Splat wants his car back! He has been VERY patient with us!! So once that is done then we move on to the other ideas on the white board. I am really waiting to get these Sikky headers so I can test them back to back...

Every manifold that I have made have had a completely flat flange.... Actually the factory flanges are not raised around the ports. Only 4 out of the 8 are like the ones pictured and they are like that to allow for expansion and contractions of the flanges. If you notice the factory manifold flanges are in pairs.

well spotted andy. i noticed that as well but couldnt put it into words as i have not handled a pair of factory flanges.

i just got back from the local toyota dealership. and after an inspection of the un-touched sikky flange by half a dozen mechanics and a few parts guys, i asked if they would be comfortable mounting these to a motor without leaking. the result was a resounding "no", comments included "the flange isnt even straight", "the ports arent even round", "these arent even flat"

when i asked what should be done, they said they should be made flat and new gaskets should be used. it is their feelings that gaskets could be used again if they were being used with the factory manifolds, but not aftermarkets.

i already ordered new gaskets this morning, and will continue to resurface the other header.
I will say the factory gaskets can be reused. Metal exhaust gaskets can be reused many times.

The old saying "If it aint broke, don't fix it" keeps resonating in my head after reading all these recent posts. There are no leaks or warpage and the SIKKY headers have been performing flawlessly for both Jaslapp and I. I believe Jaslapp has thousands of miles on his headers and I have around 1500. SIKKY designed the headers the way they are for a reason and it's worked. So basically to those calling SIKKY out for making a a sub-par quality headers you have three choices.

1. Modify the SIKKY headers and pray they don't eventually leak or warp.
2. Stick with the directions and trust that the SIKKY headers are fine as is.
3. Wait for an alternative product that Elite will be offering.

Best of luck to you doublexl with modifying these perfectly good headers. I'll be watching to see how this turns out.
I think the third option is the best!!! Plus it think we will have the best power gain when we are done!

As far as Elite goes you still haven't produced anything so I'd shut my mouth until I had something to actually back my talk up with. Just my two cents.
I love ya buddy but I gotta say you really need to do your homework! I have MANY MANY products out there just most of them are custom peaces. As for the F, we have done the ported intake Manifold which gains 13-17whp. We also have many in the works, but I would like to see consistent gains and a perfect product before they are released! COUGH COUGH Supercharger COUGH COUGH

I wasn't talking about any of the other products you make. I was talking about your so called headers.

........... You even have a post in the thread........ http://www.lexusfforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3038

The only reason we haven't released them is because I wanted to make sure ours make at least the same gains as Sikky.. As a company I could care less if we come out with the product first or if its cheaper. We will make the HIGHEST quality peace we can, with the best gains possible. when Sikky claimed 50whp... I was VERY skeptical.. So I want to know if I need to improve my design to make similar gains, but I think we can all see that the 50whp gain was a difference from snow mode to sport mode like I originally thought.

I know...All these guys are puttin down around 420 at the wheels and the F only weighs around 100lb. less that a C63...A couple guys with C63's tuned here in Dallas run high 11's...11.8-11.9...I think the F's transmission is a LOT faster so I'm guessing it's probably a pretty close race...With an M3 sucking exhaust from both of em :D
I would say they are making about 390... They make over 400 on a Dyna Pack, and they are known to read very high.. Most on a Dyno Jet is 389whp.. Splats pry made about 430whp but I don't know for sure.
