In y case I have AP rotors and calipers on two of my cars and they are worth every penny. I have Performance Frictions pads though, a lot of brake dust but the damn thing works. At no time do I fear that my brakes will fail me during track days. I don't mind the dust knowing that the pads are getting worn out as opposed to the rotors.
The weight diff between the Brembo caliper and the AP alone is enough reason to go AP. I'm still happy with my OEMs but in my case AP will surely be my direction should I feel the need to change.

I got mine in Hong Kong but you can get them over there, many high performance shops carry them. If you've got nothing better to do, go to place which sells both put a 4 pot Brembo caliper on your hand and an AP on the other and see the diff.
