So we have a pretty good plan together on how we would like to design and build a single turbo kit for the IS F that will make great power, be very reliable and look great! We have put together some introductory pricing for the first 5 customers that would like to purchase our kit.

The kit will include:

Precision Turbo
Waste Gate
Blow off Valve
Custom intercooler piping and exhaust piping back to the rear bumper.
Custom front mount intercooler
AEM F/IC modified for the IS F
Larger port injectors
Injector driver
Dyno Tune
UEGO Wideband
and Installation of the full kit.

Amazing introductory price for the first five people will be $9,500. After that we will be selling the kit installed for a minimum of $12,000. Please contact me for more information or any questions you may have. You can reach me at the shop 763.634.8005 or [email protected]

Thanks,
Andy

except throttle response, no turbo lag, smoother power and more low end torque. and if i'm not mistaken, a supercharger is easier to install and tune as well. less variables.

so would your piggy back ecu be useable for a supercharger application
With the kit that we are working on, there will not be much turbo lag. Right now at the boost levels that we are at(5psi), the power band is pretty smooth. The problem that you run into with this car and a roots style supercharger is the amount of heat they produce. On a car with normal to low compression it does not pose a big issue. On the other hand a car like the IS F with 11.8/1 compression we are going to have problems with the heat soak, which will cause detonation on a high compression engine like the one in the IS F. Now you can after cool a roots blower, but again after any amount of abuse it will start to create a lot of heat. So in my opinion an intercooled turbo system is the best forced induction option for this car. Plus a turbo is MUCH more efficient then a supercharger

Now will the FI/C work on a supercharger system? Yes it will work perfect for a supercharged car just as well as it would on a turbo car! If you are really interested in doing a supercharger on the car we would be more than happy to do it, but you need to know the risks and weigh them! I have a great idea for a blower that i would use, if any one really wants to try it!
Thanks,
Andy

Spoke to a tech at Level 10 transmissions, said a supercharger is the best application on this car because of the automatic and far less tuning. Anybody familiar with this topic, please chime in.
.... Curious why he would say that because actually a turbo is great with and auto, there is never a drop in boost because the throttle never closes during shifts. Both a supercharger and turbocharger have their high points. It really just depends on what the customer is looking for. We are currently in the works on both so just stay tuned!

1) What is the turn around time from drop off?

2) What happens to my Borla exhaust? What RWhp will it make?

Thanks
Torsten
The Turbo Kit is currently still in the works. RWHP just depends on how far you want to put the car... The turbo that we supply with the kit is good for over 900whp. That requires a motor build. Please feel free to give me a call at the shop so we can chat!
