personally i'd rather have a supercharger. any chance you could develop a kit?

and have a plug and play tune as i live in western canada and would see absolutely no reason to go all the way there lol
Sorry I don't think a supercharger kit is in the cards by us. The space constraints are the largest challenge when building any kind of FI kit for this car. Physically fitting either popular styles of superchargers in the engine bay(with the necessary pulley's/brackets etc) would be as huge of a challenge as it will be to build our turbo kit. I don't think there is a large enough FI market for one shop to develop and built both options for the IS-F, IMO.

So we have a pretty good plan together on how we would like to design and build a single turbo kit for the IS F that will make great power, be very reliable and look great! We have put together some introductory pricing for the first 5 customers that would like to purchase our kit.

The kit will include:

Precision Turbo
Waste Gate
Blow off Valve
Custom intercooler piping and exhaust piping back to the rear bumper.
Custom front mount intercooler
AEM F/IC modified for the IS F
Larger port injectors
Injector driver
Dyno Tune
UEGO Wideband
and Installation of the full kit.

I don't see this as being a shippable kit in the near future. All kits will be in house install only(until further notice).

What If It Does Not Work? Your Tackling It But Are U Sure U Can Tune The F?

Andy, seeing that your shop is fairly new...

Was this your first time dynoing or working on a Lexus IS-F??

4th gear on the IS-F carries a 1.46:1 ratio.

Do you have plans to make a successful first attempt at a Piggyback Tune on a Base / Stock IS-F,
to see if the ECU will hold it.??

Also, have you worked on any other Lexus and/or Toyota piggyback ECU tunes??

The shop opened 3/01, not sure that is "fairly new". We have extensive experience with many different platforms and are routinely on the leading edge of innovation in regards to modifications and safe HP levels.

Yes, this was the first IS-F, but considering the depth at which we've dug into it so far/the knowledge we've gathered, I'm betting we have more experience/depth with it then many other shops in this country. There is always a learning curve, but with our previous experience/knowledge base, we are pretty comfortable with the direction we are going with the IS-F.

Yes, we'd like to get one of these(FI/C) on a stock IS-F to watch/log and get as many base figures as possible. It's something Andy and I have discussed and will try to accomplish asap.

Between us and our tuner over the last 8.5 years, tuning is the least of our worries(tuned just about every platform/oem ecu/piggyback/standalone out there). We are watching the stock ecu to see how the oem ecu and the FI/C react to each other, but up to this point, all is good. I/we owned operated a dynojet within our shop for the first 5.5 years of operation and since then my tuner owns his own awd Dyno Dynamics dyno and he still tunes everything we build.

We are aware 6th is 1:1(the gear which most/all cars are dyno'd), however the tuner chose 4th for some reason, and I do not sit and second guess what he does as he is a knowledgeable professional.

Hello Momin,

Since your site was not working or "Coming Soon", I was under the impression that your Grand Opening occured 6 months ago, this past April. That's why I figured "fairly new"...

So by the sounds of it, your "Tuner" is off site??
What is his name or shop??

Was this his first time tunning a Lexus ECU?

Yeah I've gone through 5 or 6 websites over the years and hopefully the latest iteration will be the most functional(ecommerce). Our re grand opening this year was for our new location(in Blaine a suburb of Minneapolis), we were on the edge of downtown Minneapolis until this year.

Yup, the dyno/tuner is off site, his name is Shane and his shop is DB Performance(I think it's on the dyno sheets we posted). We have an enclosed trailer we take our cars over to him in(if a car isn't drivable).

First time tuning an IS-F ecu yes, but I believe he's tuned other Lexus/Toyota ecus, I'd have to ask him specifically to verify(he tunes all/most the high hp Supras in the area). Regardless, if you are worried about the ecu learning or reverting, he/we are fully aware of the possibilities. We'll keep everyone posted as we monitor the tune in the current car running the AEM FI/C.
