Hey everybody...I was about to order these two mods and wondered if anyone had any idea about their effectiveness or first-hand experience with replacing springs or adding a strut bar?

My bad...Just saw the strut thread forum

Would you still like information on this or did you find what you were looking for? :D
I'd like more information about the strut bar. I didn't even know that there was a strut bar availible for the IS-F yet.
^^Neither did I. The GTSPEC website only lists them for the ISx50 and not for the F.

To the original OP, do you have any more information on the strut bar? They are an easy install based on ones I've installed on other cars. In the F, it looks like you might have to remove a lot of plastic, I'll look next time I'm outside

how hard do you drive your F? i don't think there is much to be gained unless you push your car to its limit.

i have a nice looking strut tower brace on my s2000 and even though i drive like i stole it, i could never tell there was any difference. personally, i believe a strut tower brace is mostly for show unless we have a very floppy body structure.

This is partly true...you'll definately feel more benifit with a strut bar on a car with very flimsy structure. But it also matters with the strut bar design. Most strut bars have pivot points that kind of diminish their effectivness. The best strut bars are one piece and do not have any pivot points, like the TRD ones...Darshana S...
I can only tell you about my past experiences. My last car was an '03 G35 6MT Coupe. There was only one STB, that I know of that really worked on this car. (There was 4 or 5 others out there, but they were mainly for looks) The good bar was expensive ($425.) and they were rare and built to order. There's a group buy that just completed on a G35 forum at $600 each. Anyway, I was one of the first to get mine in Match of '06. I could actually feel the difference in stiffness backing out of my garage and going over the crown of my driveway to the street. It turned that car into a slot car. It made a good handling car into a great handling car. Big improvement, IMHO. I hope something like that comes along for the F.
