Driver's race?

I was recently driving on the highway and was approached by a white ISF...I'm not one to really race or anything, but I wanted to see how this car moves...the roads were clear so we both decided to punch it...he pulled about a half a car on me and my jaw dropped!!! I have a takeda intake and joe z exhaust...his car definitely sounded louder...I've been trying to figure out where I went wrong...I started off in 3rd the first time...he pulled on me...I started off in 4th the second time and he still pulled...

Maybe he had headers or nitrous?
I was trying to figure that out....The only two companies I am aware of are Sikky and Elite. I doubt he had either....and he didn't pull hard enough for a nitrous shot.
I have yet to see another F around. Crazy times. Shoulda gotten a hold of him and told him to member up so we could all know what he's got going on.
i dont know where you are from, and i dont know where that other isf is from. but i do know that a white twin turbo from artisan exists.
How fast were you going at those gears? You want to be around high 4k to get a good launch because our peak tq is around that rpm range
Could it be because he had all the nannies shut off, sport mode, manu mode and you didn't. How are you sure everything was equal?

If you aren't familiar in M mode there's a higher chance of starting at the wrong powerband.

That's what happend to me on my first week of owning the IS-F ...vs CTS-V.
There are so many different ways to drive the car, its considerably quicker when its locked in with the nannies off.

I drive in M-mode about once a week just because its so damn fun.
What is this M mode guys?

Manual mode...oops....we were both in manual mode...the way we both downshifted....I always drive in manual mode..it's so much friggin fun...the thing was I think I was at 4200rpms..and we both launched...he pulled...the pull was not enough for a force induction car. His exhaust was friggin LOUDDDD!!
Manual mode with the paddle shifters. I really hope that was sarcasm.
If the car was louder it probably had the iss forged race version exhaust. There are only two sets of Sikky headers out right now both on blue ISF's. I'm pretty sure the iss forged race version makes a little more power then the Joe Z.

Am I missing something here...are there other manual modes?

Peak torque comes at a lofty 5200RPM, really only usable for another 1400RPM until redline.

Well there is the manual mode you trigger by pressing downshift on the paddles which is more like an automanual that still upshifts and downshifts to the preselected gears and then there's the manual mode you select with the shifter and the F logo appears in your multi display, that mode wont upshift or downshift unless you tell it too and also bypasses the torque converter for faster shifts.
^^^^ It won't upshift and will just bounce on the red line, but it does down shift on it's own before rpms get too low. Most of us don't let it get that low though cause we like the blip.
It could be a factory freak. Wouldn't be the first! I've seen some factory
fraks on other models have a diffenrence of nearly 1sec in quarter.

Oops my bad that's what I get for typing and not reviewing what I wrote. Thanks for the correction.
^^^ no worries, we all do it. I just caught it.

BTW the photos you take are unbelievable.

Thanks :D

Its more of a hobby than anything, I'd love to do it full time but it just doesn't pay what I need it to to buy my toys haha.
