Is there a way to control this feature? Or things like how long the lights are on when I lock the car?

Your dealer can update a lot of these settings. There is a pdf file available on Lexus.com that describes all of the possible customization.

I had them set my car up so that it doesn't automatically unlock on my F, which is how I set up my previous car. I figured that is safer.

If you want me to send you the PDF, PM me your email address and I'll send it.

it is silly that I can't configure these on my own.

Thanks for the info. Car is gone in for it's inspection, I guess I will get them to change it.

I agree totally. My 04 Acura TL allowed you to configure all of this stuff through a display in the instrument cluster. I'm sure Lexus figured it would be easier for customers to have the dealer do it, but it stinks if you want to change something later. For instance, I'd like my auto headlights to turn on sooner, but I don't want to make my dealer reprogram the car again.

When I bought my TL, my salesman went through all of the customizable settings with me to configure the car as I liked. That seems like the best approach to me, then if you sit down with the manual, you can always reprogram it yourself later. Just IMHO.

Just a heads up for what may be coming in the future on all Lexus: the 2010 RX350 has user programmable features on it and I would bet that in the near future as models change and get updated that you will see it on all Lexus.
