Does having paint work done affect the cars value?

I just bought my ISF yesterday and as part of the deal I told Lexus that I wanted them to repaint the front bumper, hood, fenders, and mirrors. The car is Obsidian Black and has various rock chips on those pieces (and they show, since black shows everything). I'm extremely anal when it comes to things like that and wanted it to be mint when I got it. They are also installing a clear bra after completion of the work.

Would you think this would negatively effect the cars value or since I'm have Lexus do the work will it be considered ok?

Thanks,

It probably would if the job is not done properly but if the blending with the non resprayed parts (inside of the doors ...) then I don't see why it would.
I have an Obsidian one as well and the garage I bought it from machine polished it before I took deliver of it. They did more damage than good and I am looking a having it resprayed and properly polished just because I can not stand the swirls and holograms it currently has

My thought exactly. North Park Lexus has a good rep around here so I'm confident they will do an outstanding job. Plus, it's my understanding that black is one of the easier colors to match.
You should be fine on value. Good call on getting the clear bra installed to. It will help keep the chips down.
