Look at previous threads about mods and developments. Not much but enough to get you started when you get your F.

Excuse me:confused:

Welcome to the site!

To answer your question, over time I think more and more parts will be released for the F. There have been a few products already released and more in the R&D stages to be released soon.

Are you asking about any specific types of aftermarket parts (FI, suspension, exhaust)? Imo, I don't think we are going to see any type of FI (superchargers, turbochargers) come out for the F anytime soon. With the economy being the way it is and the fact the F is a limited number per year car, I don't think there is a big enough market nor enough shops wanting to take the plunge on producing FI for the "new kid on the block."

I have a feeling we are going to see more and more suspension parts and exhausts coming out for the F as well as cosmetic parts such as the Wald Body Kit and others (I know Carson Toyota just added the entire line of Branew parts for the F (body kit, big brake kit, etc.)).

It's going to be interesting to see what comes out! I know I'm already ready for more parts :D

Does it matter if im 12 also ? and thanks for your opinion.
NO, IMHO there will not be enough IS-F's produced to >

make the aftermarket big enough for most to mass produce parts for it. If there are really only 2733 IS-F's in the USA, what part of that number could you expect to capture if you are makeing let's say a cold air induction kit? If you get 20% of the available market, which would be HUGE percentage wise, you only sold 550 units? Is there really enough profit in 550 cold air units to pay for all the R&D, advertising, etc, to justify bringing a cold air induction unit to market for that limited number of cars? Even if you could worldwide which will cost much more to market to etc, say the full run of 5K cars, that is not a large initial target market IMHO. Even if Lexus doubles that number over the next couple of years will the maket want, need, or buy your product? Big gamble IMHO. Think most will play it safe and wait another year or two, especially with the current ecconomy, before really doing anything IS-F specific especially if it's an expensive part....

I think we'll all need to wait for any really good goodies to come over the next few years, if at all. Until then we'll have to look for the smaller but willing MFG to cater to our wants, for which there is really nothing wrong with other then most can't afford windtunnels, etc to do full blown R&D, but some will still provide a decent product so shop wisely. :)

..."especially with the current ecconomy"

pleeeease stop with that
LOL, sorry about that but when you've been unemployed >

for the last 5 months and live and breath everyday looking for work and all you are told is that your are over qualified for this job or that job, thoughts about the ecconomy are omni-present. I'll try to refrain from any further references to the current state of things!
Well, looks like you dont care about thr 12yr old thing. good, cause alot of people don't like me on their form cause of my age. I think that we need to wait also. but people buy turbos for lambos and ferraris so I think that that is not the problem. the car is pretty new, 09 model so I think it will sell more. like alot more. also how muchh would a custom SC/TC(FI) cost to do? Just wondering because I saw a youtube video with a Is F that had a custom greddy Supercharger. The final question is....... Has anyone ported and polished their Is F eingine or had it done for them?

Age doesn't matter here as long as you present yourself well. Being respectful to the other members and of course being respectful to our community is key.

As to your original question about availiblity of parts for the F, in this tough economy we're in right now, it will be up to the aftermarket parts manufacturers to make parts on the F. The F is a niche vehicle so finding parts right now is tough at first. In the state of our economy right now, it will be tough for any company to produce anything for any car, except the mainstream ones like for instance a Camry or something. The F you see with the custom Greddy S/C is one off. After all the parts, installation and etc you're probably looking at at least $10k on that project. I really doubt anyone has ported or polished their F's engine at this time. I'm sure there will be for those looking to extract more power from the 5.0L V8.
