Hey there, well I've owned by 2008 IS-F for a year now, put on 10k miles and with a little carelessness, did some damage to the paint and wheels. I'll be putting up before and after pictures. The car is being detailed tomorrow, and I believe Monday the wheels will be refinished.

Wheel Damage

Paint Chips

Actual pictures of the swirl marks are hard to see, I'll get much better pics before it gets detailed.

ouch!...rock chips should clean up nice but curb rash is the worst...glad my wheels are ok so far but I'm gonna cry if i somehow get curb rash.
I curbed 2 of my rims too last year. Finally got them fixed today almost a year later! They look as good as new. For the partially shredded tire, super glue did the trick.

How long did you wait for them to cure? I'm afraid of driving while the roads are wet, I want to give it some time.
Very nice results. Thanks for the pics!
Looks good. Paint match appears to be right on. Is it something that will catch your eye, or do you only find it because you know where to look?
I can't notice, took a close look in the sun today. A much needed detail is coming Saturday.
nice work! How much was it? is it per wheel that they charged you? & also how long did it take?

$90 per wheel, took 4 hours for 4 wheels, he came out with a trailer, took the wheels off, brought them in his trailer, did all the work and put them back on.

I've completed the chip repair as well, will get pics up soon.

He said it'd be fine within 2 hours. Then he said not to wash the rims for 2 days.
I'll tell you right now that the chip repair isn't perfect, which may have been the result of my poor application, but it appears to have dried in a much darker pigment. The car is getting detailed tomorrow, and at that time I'll get the rest of the pictures.
Here's the final picture, still have pictures to add... It only has 1 coat of Blackfire Wet Diamond, still needs another coat along with a final coat of wax:

It rained on the way home so the fenders are mucked up.

I highly recommend taking the wheels off the car once a year and cleaning them with P21S, warm water and a wheel brush on the inside. Dry them and then use Poorboy's wheel sealant. Your wheels like look new and won't get all this road tar sticking to them.
