Decision made...picking up my IS F in 10 days!!

Hey guys...I've decided not to take the $49,500 deal on the IS F with 10,000 miles on it. I'm buying a new Smoky Granite Mica for $55,500, which is only $500 over what the dealer actually pays for it (I know the sales manager)!!! I already have an appointment with a shop I go to here in NJ, and the week I get the car I'm dropping it off there for:
-straight pipes
-intake install
-eibach lowering springs or coilovers (can't decide)
-20" axis elite rims
-5% tint all around (except windshiled)
-chip
-tune

...According to a guy i met with a white IS F with the exact same work done, I'll be putting down 402 to the ground....

...Can't wait to pick it up and get the work done...I'll post pics as soon as it's all done...

Can't wait

Congrats on the purchase!! I don't think there's a bad color in the F :)

Please post pics of all the parts installed, perhaps even before if you plan on hanging around the shop :) What intake, type of pipes and coilovers are you going with? Are they all going to be custom done?
Well congrats! What is this "chip" that you are speaking of. I have heard of no reprogram or flash for the ecu, so I am curious.

Yeah, please let us know more about this "Chip and Tune"

Actually to be completely honest that guy I saw with the white IS F had all this work done and showed me his dyno sheet where he was puttin down 402hp. He owns a shop in staten island and I was also confused when he mentioned the "chip" in his car but we were at a huge car meet here in jersey and I just didnt get the chance to ask him more about it. But we did exchange #'s and I fully plan on calling him to ask about not just that but everything he has done...As soon as I find out I'll post about this chip and tune. He couldn't have been lying tho cause he showed me his dyno sheet and with just straight pipes and an intake he would not be making 50 more hp at the wheels. And by the way, I don't know if anyone has heard an IS F with straight pipes, but it sounds sSOOOOOOO GOOD.
how much is this all going to cost?
Well the shop I'm getting this done at is a real high-end place and only does high end cars (Ferrari, Porsche, Lambo, Ford GT). I was recommended to this shop by my friend who has a worked Ford GT cause he said all of his work was done there and he's never had problems or issues at all. So as you can imagine I assumed it'd be a little pricey but when I mentioned all this work to the guy and also mentioned my friends name he gave me an estimate of anywhere between $3-$5k mostly because the straight pipes are going to be custom. Oh and I also forgot to mention to him that I'll need my V1 installed too! Shit there's some more $$$ lol. I promise as soon as I know more about this whole situation I'll post as much as I can. It was just two days ago that I finally decided I wanted the IS F over the M3 and it was just two days ag that I decided I want a new IS F instead of a used one the dealer was trying to sell me. And it was only two days ago that I called this shop and asked about all this work being done. I need to call this kid with the white IS F and find out more in detail about what's done to his car. I'll keep everyone posted over the next few weeks when I pick the car up and immediately get the work done.

nice keep us posted. Glad to see another F to the people.
Wow, you are getting it cheap!!! Congrats!
congrats on the purchase, yeah, they are trying to get rid of 2008 production cars, and going for 2009's thats why they are dropping the prices down a bit, lol, but that sounds like a lot of nice stuff getting done, def try to get some pics during the install and what not

Enjoy
Chip huh? Sour cream and chives or bbq? lol jk.

Welcome! And there are no such thing as "chip" mods for any Toyota/Lexus vehicle.

I have a question about all these mods though. How will they affect your factory warranty?

yeah im sure i want 5% i have had 5% all around on my 07 GTI and 05 GLI since I've had the cars and the cops have never said a word about it, luckily lol. I'm actually from brooklyn just moved down to jersey a couple years ago., now im down at the jersey shore. what part of ny u from?? the place im getting everything done at is called "Ida Automotive." Those guys work wonders, they did my friends Ford GT, put a bigger blower on it, full exhaust, chip, and tuned it and now its making 710 to the wheels. THese guys know what they are doing and to be honest they are the only shop that I'd trust to fabricate some straight pipes for my IS F.
^^ say whatttt, an 05 GLI?! I had a 2004 GLI, it was the first car I really modified heavily. Those dubs are so easy to mod its not even funny :)

Yeah I bought it last year just cause I love the way the car looks for some reason. It's just so completely different than a regular jetta you know?? lol
