Hey guys,

New poster but I've been following the board for a while.

The last few months I have been looking to replace my wife's IS350. I looked at and drove the C63, the M3 and a 2009 ISF. I must say that I loved every thing about the ISF except for the stackable exhaust treatment. I even had my first mods planned thanks to this board. Well, when it came down to the wire and I was all ready to pick up a brand new 2008 ISF for $49,950.00.......something terrible happened.................I took a GTR out for a spin.:)

Long story short, I purchased the GTR, I gave my wife my 2007 RS4 and now we are both happy.

Just here to let you know that I think the ISF is an incredible machine, a tremendous bargain and a great looking car (minus the exhaust).
Each his own! I admit that after owning the F for about year and four months now I still find it awkward for me on the stack exhaust from time to time as well but it grows on you also this is what it separates IS250-350 to an F..The Side vents,Rims,Exhaust and the camel nose/hump(Kinda gives a muscle car look, depending on the angel of the car and way its parked)..If it makes you feel any better Ferrari California took the same route and got a stack exhaust as well..:)

I have a 08 black R35 with Nismo sport setting and a 2009 Charcoal IS-F with I-Code
full ECU tune. The GTR is a fun car to drive and brutally fast. But, I must say, that is about it. Taking it on long hauls is not comfortable and at the end of the day it is a Nissan. The dealer service is so so at best and the nobs, etc are not state of the art like the Lexus. IS-F is classy fast, comfortable, made extremely well and service outstanding. So if I had to choose one car to drive daily, it would be the ISF. GTR for me is for weekends warrior. Also, Nissan is pretty unreasonable about maintaining factory warranty when you modify the car. Lexus is a lot more flexible and not hard headed in my opinion. I suppose it depends on what you are looking for as both cars are very nice.
Damn! You beat my current dream wish! To have IS-F and a GT-R!! I guess I have to wait few years which I planned at the rate of $2500.00 a month put away plan..:p:D

I agree with everything you are saying. First, the GT-R is not the kind of car that I would drive everyday. It's loud, rigid, and it attracts way too much attention. I have had people turn around and chase me down, jump on my ass to get a picture, follow me home to talk and even try to wave me down when driving. I guess we will say it has a cult following.:) I also think the paddle shifters would have been better positioned on the steering wheels but I have adjusted my driving to their fixed position. Does Nissan really call that a back seat?

I fortunately, have a Kleemann Stage III E55 for my daily driving so the GTR is definitely not a DD.
E55 AMG correct? Very nice!! How is the gas mileage on it? Since the car is freakin fast as is but you got a Stage III mod? 1/4 mile? 0-60? etc..

My best et is 11.7 and trap is 124.6 but I am a shyyt driver. Many run low 11's in tuned E55s.

My gas milage is about 10 miles/gallon
WOW! Still Pretty good! Stock E55's gets about Low to Mid 12's easily so I can see a modded E55 getting 11.7 or better easily..Very nice!!
BTW Not to nosy or anything but what do you for living? Since you got a E55 AMG and a GT-R and you said you have RS4?

Post it on this thread I started while back..
