Hey guys,

New poster but I've been following the board for a while.

The last few months I have been looking to replace my wife's IS350. I looked at and drove the C63, the M3 and a 2009 ISF. I must say that I loved every thing about the ISF except for the stackable exhaust treatment. I even had my first mods planned thanks to this board. Well, when it came down to the wire and I was all ready to pick up a brand new 2008 ISF for $49,950.00.......something terrible happened.................I took a GTR out for a spin.:)

Long story short, I purchased the GTR, I gave my wife my 2007 RS4 and now we are both happy.

Just here to let you know that I think the ISF is an incredible machine, a tremendous bargain and a great looking car (minus the exhaust).

nice i belive everything when i see a pic...what color options 2010 or 2009
Wow, How did you get from an IS-F to a GTR? They're two very different vehicles in two different price ranges. That would be like looking for a minivan and buying a Ferrari.

Were you in the market for a sedan or a supercar?

IMO you picked the wrong color. that red is too "pontaic solstice". also not a big fan of the rims, but they're alright. great car.

shopping between an isf, m3 and c63. then picking up a gtr is quite weird.

As I initially stated, I was looking at an ISF for my wife........ not me. I already have several cars and was not hunting for myself. I drove the GTR after seeing it while driving past the dealership. I was smitten with it's performance and technology and decided to purchase one.

BTW, I've already been to the track, "just to see what it could do" and ran a 11.3 @127.5 in auto, and no launch control. I do have a mid-pipe and a tune.

Each his own! I admit that after owning the F for about year and four months now I still find it awkward for me on the stack exhaust from time to time as well but it grows on you also this is what it separates IS250-350 to an F..The Side vents,Rims,Exhaust and the camel nose/hump(Kinda gives a muscle car look, depending on the angel of the car and way its parked)..If it makes you feel any better Ferrari California took the same route and got a stack exhaust as well..:)
^^ Yeah, to each his own. I really like the stacked quad exhaust and most people compliment it... it's unique!
Sorry guys, I'm not here to flame the ISF. It was the car I desired more than the C63 or M3............the stacked exhaust was not a deal breaker.

Enjoy your cars!!:)

Enjoy the GTR... wish I had one too.
leave him alone and get over it. nice choice in wheels. enjoy the beast.
I wish I could justify a GTR...holy crap!!! True the ISF is absolutely great in its segment, but the GTR is just greatness..................
So I was gonna go to McDonald's, but I ended up going to Ruth's Chris. ;)
Just playing. If I had the cash I'd make decisions like that too! Amazing car that GTR! Curios, if they discounted it much, if at all?
Congrats on the GT-R. That car is wicked!

Unfortunately no discount was had.

BTW, I often prefer a Big Mac to a T-bone steak.:)

A short video of the car: http://members.streetfire.net/video/2009-GTR-custom-cobb-tune_695395.htm
Does anybody know the pipes also serve a functional purpose as diffuser? It's very sad Lexus never got this important point across to people who wrote only bad things about it ! Terrible promotion on the dealers part too!
I just picked up my Is-F Saturday and could not be happier. I do not really like the exhaust tips but I fully enjoy the rest of the car. I can not quite afford the GT-R and the Is-F is more than enough car for me right now.
It will be 2-3 years before I get one at the rate of me putting away $2500.00 a month..:)
Love the GTR. Thought about trading my F for one to deal with the snow. But couldn't see myself rolling in to a nissan dealership for service and borrowing a Sentra.
Hey, I like the red, especially with the red wheel hubs!
If I could afford one, I'd get one too. Or a Z06. Or a 911 GT3. Rough choices would abound.
Enjoy the supercar.
