if yes, just replace the window. it won't raise your rates.

my policy (geico) does not charge a deductible for glass repairs. i think they charge a $50 fee, that was what is was the last time i used it, 3-4 years ago.

in other words, even if the chip is small....go to the dealer and have a new one installed. this is why you pay so much for insurance, and your premium will not increase.
