Okay sports fans I want to share with you the D-spec throttle controller. I have been modifying cars for over 25 Years and have to say this device has easily deivered the most bang for my buck!!! I am familiar with both the Blitz and the TOM's but had not heard of the D-spec unit. My good friend and service advisor who owns a GS460 reasearched, bought and installed one on his car. After a couple of weeks to allow the learning ECU some time to aquaint itself with the new rate of which the throttle opens I went for a spin. WOW! absolutely tranformed his car into a sporting driving experience. I just installed one on my F and am amazed at the results. D-spec controller: ECON mode NORMAL mode and SPORT mode. Cost is $130.00 Yes you are reading this correctly $130.00. Check it out you will not be disapponinted!!!

but it doesnt add power correct? just feels good on the butt dyno? to me this mod is just like the Sport button that the car comes with....
d spec

where do you find out more info on this , who sells it
I saw it on Ebay. I am always concerned with these type products. it also comes straight from Japan, which isn't an issue unless you have a failure or it screws your car up.

is this the same unit???
Sorry for the tardy reply. I have been earning my living. The stock sport mode button does in fact increase throttle repsons as well as tighten the electronic steering and free up the VDIM. The throttle controller in the Sport mode level 7 opens the throttle as much as 35-40% faster giving the car a much greater sense of throttle response. My best example is and I know everyone will identify with this: Your tooling down the freeway in drive at 70 MPH or 1800 RPM. You then mash the throttle to the floor and wait for the car to find third gear, there is a noticeable lag. With the throttle controller the car drops so fast I have even produced some wheelspin during the act. Guys c'mon $130 give me a break that is the cost of a nice dinner. The unit is a D1-Spec Throttle controller made by Motor Racing Sports. A must have!!!!
Is it plug and play like the Blitz/Tom's Unit?

Absolutely!!! I installed it very professionally. I took the center console out and put the controller in the ashtray. I dont smoke and dont put anything in the ashtray. Now when you slide it open you expose the controller make your changes and close the tray. Very stealth!!
i google'd it and also searched for it on ebay but i can't seem to find anyone selling this unit...
:(

I wasn't aware throttle controllers had any effect on tranny shift times, would anyone care to put up a video showing regular mode, sport mode, and the most aggressive throttle controller settings so we can see the difference?

does the D1 Spec Version 2.0 Throttle controller also work for the isf

Check out ZENARACING.COM Type Throttle controller into the search box at the far rigt of the home page. I am just tryin to make all ISF brethren aware of this low cost high performance piece. With absolutely no disrespect I am not into taking pictures and posting them onto a thread.
No worries about the pics.

This is great to hear, but why does it sound like you're trying to sell the product versus sharing your experience? Any pics or video would help.

this particular unit the OP is talking about is manufactured in taiwan...not japan... just fyi...

if i can get my hand on one of these, i'll try it...i'm heading to HK soon and the company's main office listing is near my friend's business...i'll prob go swing by there to get one and try out...

WOW! Can anyone just genuinely offer some friendly advice without having a hidden agenda?? The main point of the thread was to inform ISF owners that there is a throttle controller available to them at a 1/3 of the cost of the competitors. Buy or it or don't buy it. I have no monitary interest in the product whatsoever.
