I took a shot at it and got frustrated. I really don't understand the logic behind making such a difficult lock to hold in these vents. This is what I do for a living but God damn I was sweating bullets trying not to scratch anything! I'll just have Lexus do it.

Patience, my friend! I went with the vaistech and installed it myself, and I don't even do it for a living. It's true that the vents are a pain, but when you get it, that would be better than paying someone else to do it. I went through it a couple of times when I installed the override as well. YOU CAN DOOIIITT!!
