I agree. I for one will be keeping the 19s the car came with. The only thing I may end up changing are the RE050 for P2's. The suspension is stiff enough and going 20s on low profile is just asking for some trouble. My first flat came last week. Luckily the wheels did not get damaged in any way.Be very careful with those 20's. I put a set of 19inch MOMO's on my IS 350 with P-Zero tires and I must have bent my rims 5 times just from normal driving. I don't think I'm going to change the wheels on my new IS-F, especially going more low profile as you would with 20 inch rims. I just think the suspension is too stiff and you might have the same trouble.
That said, I'm sure they'll look sick...
Post pictures.
I will purchase your stock tires when you move up to 20s.Anyone adding aftermarket wheels on their ride?
I just ordered a set of 20" Auto Courture all black.
Great real world info.. Testament to the wheels strength. Glad everything went well for you with the flat other than having a flat in the first place.I agree. just add spacers.....I happen to love the stock bbs wheels. They are forged and not cast like the RS4...and I love the gunmetal color and design. The only thing I would change is a wider front and rear wheel to fill out the fender just a hair.
haha thanks, those wheels are hott, plus its only for the winter for me i probably wont even drive it that much, lol whats prices you have for a sets of those?Forged wheels are a good idea for the IS-F if you are replacing the factory wheels for a new spring/summer set in the cold climate areas. However, if you are simply swapping on a set of winter only wheels the Lexus G-spider wheels are a Lexus approved fitment!
