I had mine painted gloss black by a body shop...they used high temp paint. I initially went to a powdercoater but they told me that painting them would be the better method. They've held up pretty well over 5000 miles so far, but I'm glad I did black (I really wanted the wheel color) b/c I have to touch up a spot here or there after they've somehow gotten chipped up.

Nice and I have an All black with white interior Isf and I am going to make everything that is chrom matte black by powder coating it you think i should gloss black it or matte black mine
I've done all the chrome on my car gloss and have been happy, but matte would be a nice contrast too. The reason I did gloss was so that any 'touch-ups' I had to do would hide a little better. It seems no one has perfected painting chrome yet, so touch ups here and there are a necessary evil. Good luck and I can't wait to see your results.

i might do that our my friend told me to loss black my rims and im ordering new brakes and my dealer can get my the blue f ones so it will really show behind gloss black rims and then they told me to Matte Blue everything that is chrome including exhaust tips to window rim to all the emblems and grill what do you think?
i spray painted mine and they are fine. just take scotch bright to them. then clean them with denatured alcohol and then paint away

Did you take your window moldings off the doors?? Or did you spray in place and just tape off everything?? Please help.. email me if you would [email protected] or text 239-289-2942
my body shop taped everything off. a lot of people are using vinyl now also, and it's turning out well.
The vinyl tape might be the way to go for a start, and it is easy to remove if you don't like it or want a change. it is pretty cheap too.
