Cali snowboarders!!!

Hey folks. Im moving to So Cal from minneapolis and need some info. Do you need snow tires to get to the good boarding in California. If not I will be selling my 19" winter blizzak/ wheel package for the "F"

Best tires are to be found on a friend's SUV that is headed in that direction :)
