Well guys I got written up today for going 20 mph over the speed limit.:( The cop bought my story that i was in a hurry to get home and back to school. So he gave me only 10 mph over limit. this was on street not hwy. Also he complimented my car! He's like, " this is a very fast car, no need to show it here!" He says i ran a yellow light and hes all ":D You could have stoped on the dime if you wanted to, with these kind of brakes." Well overall im bummed, got fined $150, but am eligible for traffic school, which is a big releif. I was just wondering if any of you have been pulled over yet in the F'n BEAST!:)

That stinks! At least he complimented your ride and only wrote you for 10 over  Was this your first ticket?

I haven't gotten one in the F yet but I did get one a few years back on Christmas Eve delivering Christmas gifts to disabled children, talk about a dic* of a cop
I passed a Westchester County unmarked car going 70 in a 45 in the right lane (I thought it was a cab) on the Bronx River Parkway about a month ago....I figured I was dead. He followed me for a mile or so and then sped forward giving me a thumbs up. I saw him a few miles ahead settling in a secluded area for the hunt, so I think the car got me off???? go figure.
Yeah I got busted for going fast but not in the highway..Rather in a local traffic going over 5 miles..That's right! 5 miles!
Only time I had something similar was when I first had the F about 2 months or so I had a incident involved in my business where several cops had to come down to take care of the kids but in the end the cop came in and asked if the Lexus I had outside was IS-F and I said yup!
It was hilarious b/c 3 cop cars were looking at it like a God!! Best of times!!:D :D
yeah it was my first ticket ever! So yeah it sucks, but I was gonna get one sooner or later. Now at least I'll drive safer!HAHAHA Dude Phootdr you are one lucky son of gun, going 25 over and getting a thumbs up on top of that. props to that.

I don't think cops in unmarked cars give traffic violations. I had the same experience here in LA, but not with my IS-F, and the cop didn't pull me over. I think they're more of a narcotics/gang unit.
Flojo,

They do here! I see them all the time pulling people over, and those county cops are ruthless. This guy had pulled into a spot where they often hide...laying in wait. I got lucky.

Generally, cops in unmarked cars are either traffic enforcement, narcotic/gang enforcement, SWAT or a high ranking commander of some type  It's always important to slow down when you see an unmarked unit because you never know which one it is
Well, I guess I was lucky too! LOL!

Very true, well now in long island, theres unmarked chargers and they are sick, those are hooked up and i bet if they went against a F we would actually lose, because the new Hemi on the chargers, shows how much money is put into enforcement around here, and its all blacked out, but there are alot of unmarked cars here and mike is right, that you should def slow down, most of them are narcotics team and like he said high in ranking but still capable of giving out tickets, and those are much harder to get out of! But no ticket on the F so far...lucky me...knock on wood
Unless their 6.1 liter SRT8 Hemi is supercharged they will not beat the F. Fast, but not that fast. The SRT8 Challenger is not as fast at the F.

0-60 for the 6.1 Challenger is 4.9 seconds and the 1/4 mile times are around 13.3 seconds.

Pat
they don't need to be fast all they have to do is call in backup and your screwed
Got stopped and a warning ticket last Monday for going 76 in a 70 zone on I35
returning from Dallas. Guess he couldn't find anyone going faster.

These are normal 6.1 Challenger times right Pat, not the police intercepter version? This time isn't considering the police equipment that are put in those chargers. The computers, bags, siren equipment, everything adds extra weight, leading to slower times then what you might think. I'll ask a buddy of mine if he knows any specs on the new chargers they just got here.

Was it Walker, Texas Ranger?!

Haha! All Texas Troopers wear their brown cowboy hats when they are out on traffic stops unless it's a situation that doesn't allow them enough time to put it on before exiting the patrol car
