Brakes Squeaking / Just installed Blizzaks LM

Anyone else having this problem lately. I have brought the car to my dealer twice now. The brakes start to squeak at slow braking speeds (less than 10mph). The dealer checked the brakes and said everything was ok. They told me the squeaking is due to the high performance brembo brakes. They were designed for high speeds and hot weather. Since I live in the Northeast, the cold weather is causing the squeaking. Just wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing this. About 6000 miles so far. Squeaking has become worse since the weather has gotten colder. Does Lexus just not want to replace the brakes? Squeaking way before the new blizzaks were installed (obviously acceleration down, we'll see how they do in the snow).

Haha, I hear they're a decent price to change. I tried to find exact figures but I can't, anyone know how much it is to change pads and rotors?
New front pads, plus a resurface on the front rotors, plus labor...$730.

The look on my face when they said "no charge" ... priceless.

The look on my face next time when I have to pay out of pocket ... pain.
Just a side note: I am in discussions with Hawk performance at the moment. I hope to provide them a set of OE pads for size evaluation so they can build all 3 of the compounds they offer for the IS-F. If all comes to fruition we should see availability by March.

That is good news, they make some good stuff  That should be about the time I'm going to need new pads
I was in to the Lexus dealer about the slow speed squeaking issue and was advised Lexus is currently working on a fix. No other details available other than they knew it was a problem. Who knows, maybe Lexus will buy us all new compound pads?!?
^^I heard something about possible brake shims coming out for the F by Lexus. I'm sure the mods will keep us updated

Welcome to the site by the way!
squeaking breaks

At 3800 miles, problem at low speed breaking began. three trips to dealer. Last trip to dealer, they had a factory rep and are changing the rear rotors. Get car back tuesday, will no more when I read the service notes.
^^Did you try breaking hard to burn off a film that could have formed? Also, where are you located? If it's cold, high performance brakes have a higher chance of squeaking more at lower speeds
Mmm this thread gives me extra incentive to scrub my brakes back in HARD this spring after a cold winter.
Front Brakes

I have the same problem too. It's funny to see us all here with the front brake problem, and my dealership in NC telling me that no one in the nation has complained about squeaking front brakes.

Been to the dealership 3 times, mine started to squeak just after 2k miles. Now I'm at 7300m and they squeak all the time, weather cold or hot... does not matter. Hopefully I can get a better response from the dealership here in Tx.

They squeak bad, loud. :(

Have you done any high speed breaking lately? Might want to give it a try to burn off that film that's more then likely built up

Please keep us posted, everyone! :)
Meanwhile, does anyone think Lexus may end up offering the alternative non, high friction pad they offered for those who complained about brake dust on the IS350s? I'm not sure if such a pad change would reduce squeaking, but I've been getting it to, even in the warm weather. :(
