Sounds like the Borla made about the same hp ratings as what I made with the Joe Z exhaust on Dyno Dynamics. I made 11 rwhp and 10 lbs tq from the exhaust. I probabely would of hit a higher reading if I let my car have some cool down time though but realistically for a NA car 10-12hp gain from just an exhaust is more realistic compared to the dynojet readings of 20-22 whp from the Joe Z that everyone dyno'd. Anyhow still good gains. Better then no gains.

Andy,

Just to add a quick note...
Realistically the many independent DynoJet tests across the US all speak for themselves..

The 20-22 rwhp gains from the PTS exhaust are what you are expected to gain to the wheels, when measured on the DynoJet system.

More about DynoJet company..

Joe Z :)

OK guys just installed the Borla axle back and it's everything I had hoped for!! Fit and finish are excellent (per photos), system at idle has very deep rich tone and slightly louder than stock but much deeper sound quality. At steady cruise again nice mellow tone but more pronounced than stock. At heavy to WOT WOW!! it really barks but again with a classic big block V8 sound quality. I know I know "sound vids please"!! Trying to get something better than cell phone so will do my best. This system in IMO has really added a new personality to the car. I haven't turned the radio on since I had it installed! As a side note, although I didn't actually weigh the stock vs. borla, from carrying each around my estimate is @ 20 lb. weight savings. The stock system is a "boat anchor"! If your priority for an exhaust is primarily sound with some increase in HP (@ 10-12) this is it!!!

Glad to hear that, Geneva. Mine's on a boat now finding it's way here. I also got the axle back but powder coated my mufflers with flat black and asked them not to polish the pipes. I now have the JoeZ intake, Tom's filter, FSport rear stabs, and the Borla. Getting there...

thanks for the positive response guys and for those interested we did a side by side comparison video of the borla axle back vs. the Joe-Z. Post can be found on Club Lexus website, IS-F forum. The Post is by DRE1615 under "Exhaust Symphony". Not the best sound quality but still kind of cool. Will be updating with better video source and maybe add some in car side by side performance runs.

Hey Joe is the PTS system MIG or TIG welded? That is the only thing I see that could have been a bit better is the weld appearance.
I am going to be playing with tone modifiers for my rear section this weekend and hopefully have my Ti proto done next week.

I like your rims too. What size rubber do you have on those? Any mods to accomodate those?

Also, did you see the oem rims? If so, how much did you get for them, if I may ask?

Thanks.

they are 20x9.5 in the front and 20x11 in the rear, got them from 360forged.com out of miami, check them out, they have great wheels. I kept my stock rims though. I am trying to get a couple more video's when it quits raining down here to post.
