That looks really good. I think I might have to do that.
They look really good. Where did you get them? Do you know if they had to do much new wiring to get them to work? I had a IS350 with the luxury package on it and it had the white background and I really liked them. Made for a great cool factor at night :)
Wow, that looks awesome! Did you do the install yourself or did you have it done? Where did you get the sills?
that looks simply awesome! if you dont mind...can you list everything you needed in order to do that mod? I want that exact setup lol...sorry i will admit it...i am a biter lol...but damn man...that is just sick! VERY impressed here. hats off here.
Glad you guys like them as much as I do!!! To answer some questions:

You can purchase the door sills here:

When I purchased them a couple of weeks ago, they had a promo going. If you use code "ILLUMINATE" during the checkout, it drops the price to about $155.00... then add shipping.

As far as install, I can do simple things like switch out interior lights to LED (which I did), but these door sills are not Plug-n-Play for the F. Anything that requires re-wiring I will not do, I'd rather pay someone. Anyway, I had it installed at my Lexus dealership. Now, according to some threads in the vendor section at clublexus, it sounded like it was just a simple re-wire process that would take 30 min. to do. What my dealership told me is that for the F, they had to rebuild a whole new wire harness for both doors to be able to do this. Is this true?...I don't know. So, they initially wanted to charge me $400+ to install!!!! Well, I wasn't going for that, so after some "gentle" persuasion, I got them down to $120 for the install. I think the install for these on the F is more involved because they worked on my car for about 4 hours.

So, if you guys know someone that is handy with electrical stuff, you may want to have them take a crack at it. You can probably get this done for much cheaper. For me, having it done at the dealership gives me peace of mind, that's all. I hope this helps.

Thanks for all the info, it is a huge help!
On the Lexus detailed specs on the web site for 08 IS-Fs indicated that they had illuminated door sills. I never could figure out why mine didn't work...LOL.

Hmmm...Maybe I should take mine back to the dealership and tell them to fix it! I wonder if they would since it was indicated as a "standard" part of the car...

Unfortunately they have that disclaimer about specifications subject to change without notice. I'm sure they would invoke that one :)

Oh well. It was worth the try..
Looks great !! If it truely takes 4 hours to do, and all you paid is $120 for labor, you did really good. Our hourly labor rate is $90 an hour !
Yeah, I was able to negotiate down to 1 hour of labor charge. Here in Dallas, the labor is $138/hour at my Lexus dealership. I was expecting to pay this. But, when I went to pay the charge, it ended up only being $120. Even better!
$90/hour is great!! That's what I used to pay at the Nissan dealership when I had a Nissan Maxima.

$138 and hour, what Dallas dealership are you going to? The one I frequent in Dallas is only $100 an hour and the one in Austin is $90 :D
