Blacked out lights?

I don't think anyone has on the IS-F but I've seen a few on other IS models. Do you have a rear picture of your F, I'm sure someone can photoshop one for you

i was thinking about smoking my tail lights, but most people are telling me not too but i don't know yet but ive seen some is250 with it, but i feel like a very light smoked film for my color car would be perfect cause i have the smoky granite which basically is like a grey and it would match perfectly

I had an IS250 before i got my F and i had the tails smoked on that literally like a week before (how pointless) and it looke amazing i left the little white rectangle so it was all black and then that but thanks for the idea with photoshop!

No problem. I've been considering it on my Mercury Metallic F but I would really like to see it done first before I do it

I'd try it, I personally think it would look good. If you don't like it you can always remove the film! Let us know what you decide to do

yeah, but its only film its not hard to take off, so you could try it and then if you don't like it just take it off, its on your lights so its not going to ruin anything

I have them smoked out on mine BUT,,, mine are painted on.It's much better looking than the film and it lasts longer,wont fade or tear.I had them painted on with a clearcoat of black paint (smoked) from the dealer.Rear embelems are painted too !! Looks insane,,my color is-f is Smokey Granite

yeah post some pictures, i am getting the black pearl inserts for the lexus emblem and everything soon, they have been backed ordered so, when i get those itll be sick as well

I will in the near future, right now my car is on hold waiting for the front seat covers to be installed.They had scratch marks on them and I ordered some new ones but they're the wrong ones.Getting them installed sometime this or next week. Did anyone know that there are more than one seat cover available for the "F"? I thought we only had two choices, white/black. I ordered the black by the vin # and STILL got the wrong seat covers.Maybe there's seats with no bolstered support??? I dont know

The painting is THE BEST WAY period!!!! Wont damage the tail lights or fade fron the sun like the tint!! ,or even worse get scratched or cut.Just wax and maintain it like the paint on the car....depending on where you go could cost as little as $100-$250. Got mine done at dealer cuz I wanted the same good quality paint they put on their cars to last as long on my lights.Highly recommend it..

It is. But I have it anyway. Just don't cause any attention and they won't bother you. I have this on my Matrix XRS. Prolly gonna do it to the F too.

No offense but I had tint on my tail lights for over a year, got it from aerotect, really thick durable stuff. I traded in my car for the F and I removed it. It did absolutely NOTHING to the tail light. If you want permanent option then yes painting is good, but if you ever want to take it off down the line, then tint is good, just make sure you get good quality tint.

Thanks! Yeah, if you're gonna be driving that fast that's just gonna add more attention and more reason to be pulled over lol.

ALWAYS do aerotect, great quality stuff, thick not thin like windiw tint, durable. I had it on my black IS250, I also have currently the yellow fog overlay, and NAV screen protector from them.
