Hey guys im new to this forum. and i just wanted to say Hi!

i am getting a Lexus ISF in about a week or two?.

and at our local dealer over here they have a Black and a Silver one.
but i cant choose between the two i don't know which one i like better i think i like the black better?. but!
i know black if you don't take care of it right it looks horrible after a while (had two black cars in the past). and the silver i like it but it looks a little more Calm i guess you can say ?. but i know silver never looks dirty and you never get swirl marks.. i kind of wanted to get a Vote on what you guys would go for?.

also if some one has a Lease going on if they can tell me what there payment is going for. and how much down?

and if there is any after market more horse power gain stuff out there
like a air intake and Exhaust

thanks guys and i highly appreciate who ever posts back for all the information

Thanks!
Mitch

As for monthly payment who can really say except it all depends on Credit rating on the person itself, no? with the down payment as well..

As for preference go with Black, although I have white myself I do like Black as this was my original option when I was in transit of purchasing the car..

Last Nothing at the moment for upgrades..Read some of the post..
also if some one has a Lease going on if they can tell me what there payment is going for. and how much down?
Depends on your credit rating, but I just ordered a new Blue ISF, $2K out the door, and my lease payment will be ~$1K per month, 36 months, 12K miles per year.

I went here and they got pretty close to these numbers.

I personally would say Silver :) I have a silver one and love it :) I'll post some new pics in a new thread later on today, I just had them taken, maybe it will persuade you :)
817.00 a month 5k down 4 year lease 12k miles a yr.
I chose black, but you're right that if you don't garage it and keep it VERY clean, it will look horrible in no time. In my opinion, black is the sexiest color for this beast, but you have to be prepared to maintain it properly or you're just wasting your money on a high-maintenance paint color you won't be happy with.

My second choice would be smoky granite mica, the color of my IS350 I sold to get into the IS F. Didn't show too much dirt and looked very sharp.

Congrats on your upcoming purchase.
Black. Purchased.

+1....Like my Silver.....

I agree, Silver is hard to beat. Here's another shot from yesterday of my ISF taken in St. Petersburg, Fl.

I chose to purchase rather than lease the ISF, primarily because I intend to keep the car for a long time. Even if I change my mind about keeping the car, I think it will still have a high retail value for years to come.

Hello from Peoria

I opted for the mercury metallic, owned one other silver car previously, '04 Jetta GLI.
i am biased in the fact that i WONT buy a black car for the reasons u mentioned above. i simply dont have the time/patience to wash/wax my car twice a week. if/when i get this car, it will be white exteror black interior. as nice as i think white/white would look, white interior would be almost impossible to maintain. my 2nd choice would be red/black or blue/black, but i already have a blue M3, so id go with red. 3rd option is silver/black, just see too many silver cars on the road.

bout your lease, when i went to check out this car last week, i was able to easily get 4k off sticker.

my credit is good (mid 700s FICO)
my lease would have been as follows:

5k down (3300 towards principle, 1700 is first months payments and all associated fees)
monthly payments were $885.70 (including taxes, title, and reg)
36 months lease.
10k Miles per year
52 percent residual after 3 years for a total of $31,720.

hope this helps.

I pay that amount with a maintenence package to own the vehicle.IMO this car is a limited edition I plan on owning it rather than lease.I learned the hard way by leasing my SC430,fell in love, decided to buy and now I'm making payments on it when if I did that in the beginning it'll be paid off by now!
For some people though leasing is good...
i lease because as a business owner i can write off the lease. its 10x harder to write off a car that you are financing. esp if you have multiple cars.

therefore, if leasing and financing offer the same or close to the same interest rate, leasing is miles ahead for me. however, i would try to negotiate the minimum down, just first month and fees and would rather pay an extra 50 a month or so.
Chose silver as it was the only car they had. Saw a black in the showroom this past weekend and thought it didn't look as good. Black tends to hide a car's lines while silver and white highlight them. Generally, when you see manufacturers' print or television ads for new cars, silver is the color most often chosen. I realize for the isF, blue is the choice for most of Lexus' ads.

Throw in the impossibility of maintaining a clean black car plus the additional heat it attracts and I'm forced to say, go with silver.

JMHO
Great choice, you won't regret the silver color. It has always been my favorite for a number of reasons....
The main reasons are because silver tends to not show the dust and dirt like the other colors and reflects the heat very well.

Is that $1,080/mo for a finance deal or lease?
MesaMitch,
Great choice! Enjoy your black beauty. As far as an aftermarket exhaust, Borla is supposed to be working on a catback system.
