beat by a 335i 4 door! wtf

So im driving down i95 when a 335i rolls up and says lets race. I say you sure about that thinking im bout to give him da business. he says lets go from 60. So we roll from 60 and hit it. He f-ing pulls off on me im like wtf. we only went to 100. Im sure I would have came back and smoked him. But what gives? I think he may have had something extra under the hood.
