Bought mine last nite. ML/Nav - $51.5K. I pick it up saturday.

Lou
wow, that's a pretty low price. I'm in a market for a car and would like to do an IS... and really would like to do an IS-F, but always felt it was way too out of budget. But at $51.5, maybe I could try to swing it.

Would you mind giving more details? Not really too familiar with IS-F (or IS packages in general really). I'm just starting my search.

Had an 2001 IS 300 for about 9 months in late 2003 before it got totalled when I got rear ended into another car. After that, I just settled on an '04 Accord but would now like to get a car I'd be passionate about again.

I'm in the East coast - DC/Baltimore area.

What do you want to know about the Lexus IS line? I would check out Lexus.com for some information on the different models and what makes them different. I would then talk to one of the dealership guys on here to get more information about what might suit you best (FchampOH, ISFChamp or Flipside) Let us know how we can help you out :)
hey, friendly group here. I'm just starting my search and will follow your advice. I don't want to take this thread too far off topic, but I thought I'd do another reply to just say where I currently am with my car search:

When I decided a little while ago on getting a car again to replace my 2004 Accord EX Sedan, I decided I wanted to own an IS again. I want a performance entry-level luxury sedan and because I had an IS before and had a good experience with it, I thought I'd buy one again. I'm hesitant to go German because of the maintenance. I know that BMW has factory scheduled maintenance and stuff for free for 50k miles, but I'd like a car to keep for a long time (My '04 Accord is at 122k miles now). And nothing else Japanese (from Acura or Infiniti) really catch my eye.

The IS 350 is what I was always leaning towards because the IS-F was fairly out of reach. When I first saw the prices in the mid $60s. But now I'm seeing sales now in the low, low $50s and while still out of reach, I think that means I could do a used one w/ low miles if the right vehicle and owner presented itself. If even lower prices new are possible, then maybe I could go new on the IS-F.

Let me do some more research and talk to the dealership guys you mentioned. If anyone has any suggestions for good threads to check out on pricing, please PM me.

I was just trying to see how I could help you out best, no worries, we're all friendly here  Sorry if it came across as rude  ..
BigMikeISF, I'm not sure how you thought that I thought you were rude. my comment on the friendliness wasn't sarcasm, it was genuine. A lot of times you post a newbie question on a forum and you get burned for not doing your research, etc. so when I got a nice welcome, I wanted to acknowledge it. Looks like I ended up doing the opposite of what I wanted so seems I owe you the apology.

...
Definitely look around and ask some local dealerships to see if they have any used ones yet, some might have one or two. I would also check online to see if any other dealerships have used ones or deeply discounted new ones (a lot of the 08's are decent prices). Look around and get some ideas and options that might suit you best! Keep us updated and let us know how else we can help! :D
Yep, that's my plan. I got a PM from a dealer here w/ one with mileage on it. I'm going to be looking around the DC area and see what they have. I'd be up for going somewhere else to pick up the car too if I could find an IS-F within a price I could swing. As I mentioned before, I never really considered the IS-F, but now it seems like I might be able to actually pull it off.

Not an IS-F purchased, but I thought I'd bring a little closure to my posts here where I was considering an IS-F for a brief moment. I did come back to reality and just finalized my purchase on a new 2008 IS 350 today. I would have loved to own an IS-F and even test drove it while I was at the dealer, but it's too far out of range for me right now - maybe when I finish my MBA in a couple years;)

My final price on it was $36,850 w/ XM included (Before the taxes, tags, and dealer processing fees). It seems to be a pretty solid price from all my research so I'm happy. It's Smoky Granite Mika w/ Sports Package (which includes navi), Rear lip spoiler, parking assist, headlamp washers, and dealer preferred accessories. If I wanted the silver/tungsten IS 350 w/ Luxury package, I bet I could have gotten this price lower since there are still a few around the DC area, but I preferred the Smoky Granite and definitely wanted to Sports Package so I settled at this price.

Thanks again for the friendliness and help on this forum. I'll still continue to be a poser and lurk around.
