Too funny! I saw this commercial earlier tonight after the football game and I was going to start this same thread. Yeah it is next week on Battle of Supercars. Well at least it is according to SpeedTV's website, it is supposed to be on Sept 16 @ 7pm as "Factory Tuners." I checked it on Dish and it shows the Ariel Atom vs KTM. I search Dish's website and found "Factory Tuners" the ISF vs M3 showing to be Oct 4.

If anyone finds anything sooner let me know. I gotta watch it.

Yeah, I got excited when I saw it too. I originally tried the search through my dvr for it, but couldn't find it. That's why I ended up going on-line to get the info I did. But you never know Dish could be just listing it wrong. I've seen it wrong before. Either way next weeks episode is set to record just in case.

Maybe some of the other sat/cable companies list it for next week. Can someone check their system and let us know.

any idea what year cars they're going to testing (never seen the show)? I hope it's the 2010, I'm very curious how the new lsd will affect the outcome.

Let's hope this is not done by another biased Euro a** kissing journalist. Seen so many test done on the GT-R, IS-F vs Merc, BMW and the numbers clearly shows that in the test done, the GT-R, IS-F fare better in 0-60 time, quarter mile, braking, skid pad etc in the particular test but then they somehow say that "number aren't everything and the Euro cars win because of feel, yada yada yada" Pretty pathetic. It's like seeing some athlete clearly perform better in the Olympics but got snubbed by the judges for personal preference. utterly unfair.
One thing I am tired of reading about is the criticism of the "fake" quad exhaust tips on the IS-F. Well, the $300K Ferrari California had the same "fake" quad stacked exhaust but I don't see so much of whimper about that. In fact they call it a work of art!

That show has a great premise but I am so sick of the macho BS that they try and hype. I would like it so much better if there were factual conversations about the cars since both of these guys are fantastic drivers. I'll watch the F for sure and hope they are fair.

Round 1: 0-100-0
Although Foust in the ISF had the better launch and was ahead on the road he apparently got beaten by Tracy under braking by a half car length or so.

Round 2: 60-100
M3 wins again by half a second

Round 3: standing half mile
Foust gets a jump off the line but Tracy easily drives around him for the win.

Round 4: Road Course
Foust in the ISF gets the win but the "race" looked fixed.

So, my question is, did anyone hear a beep from the ISF to indicate it was in full manual sport mode and being properly maxed out rev wise?

I just looked through the program again and as far as I can tell I didn't see Foust using the paddles either.

As Foust owns an M3, I'm sorry to say I have the horrible feeling he was sand bagging the ISF. it was either that or the ISF was brand new off the lot and not broken in compared to the M3.

I had been looking forward to the showdown all week and being an ISF owner I feel kinda cheated.

I watched the full episode as well and it was a very close match. Take note that the M3 was a dct and the dct is alot quicker then the manual version. Also it has launch control. But you were right I didn't hear any beeps from tanner's shifting from the ISF. Still proud for the ISF though. In the real world conditions I would say it's a driver's race between the two.

I really thought Foust was lax with the IS-F and he must of had it in auto as I never heard a beep either. I call shananigans!!!! Like I said, I dont care for that show with all that I'm gonna kick his a$$, I am the man etc. The F was right there in everything. That was also a 2 door coupe M3. Regardless, Good Job BMW.
