Audio problem

You probably blew it up running to red-line and beyond in the first 200 miles.

You say none of the lights are working on the center console? If your audio isn't working at all, then that would definitely need to be taken to the dealership, especially since it is a brand new F...let us know what comes of it and what they say the problem is incase any of us run into the same problem

Sorry to hear about your difficulty, I also had a problem

with the ML "sound" or lack thereof, system. You need to take it back into your dealer. Maybe they will be nice and switch it out while you wait instead of making you wait a week while they order the part....... Even when working my ML systems is still magrinal at best and the biggest dissapointment about my car. But I really rather listen to the engine sound instead.........

Warranty work! Bring it in.

I shipped my F from the US to kuwait. By doing that I knew I would be voiding my warranty. But what caught me off guard was that the lexus dealership here in kuwait would not even allow my car in their garage, not even for an oil change!

They say that they only accept cars of which they have sold. nothing else.

Are they allowed to do that?

In Kuwait there is only one Lexus dealer.

Wow, surprised to hear you are disappointed with the Mark Levinson system. It's one of the best factory sound systems I have ever heard. What about it disappoints you?

Sounds like a they pulled/blew a fuse when they shipped it over.

As far as that that dealership can or can't do, call the local lexus helpline, and ask them....

License Plate Frame?!?!?!

Where can i get a hold of an IS-F or F-Sport license plate frame for my new IS-F!!!!! im dying to get one and get this dealer frame off!!!

I'd try the dealership. I got my Black Pearl IS-F frame at the local Austin dealership, they had a magazine with at least 3 or 4 different types of F frames in various colors...

ISFChamp: The fuses are all fine. I check all of them.
I went to the dealer here and a service rep. was nice enough to help me out, even though he was not allowed to. After checking the car he said the problem could be coming from the amp. That didnt make sense to me since my bluetooth speaker works fine, a faulty amp would result in the speakers not working.
Any way I went back home and removed my amp and installed it in a normal IS with the same system and it worked fine. So Im guessing now that either my radio/cd reciever is blown or has a disconnected wire somewhere behind it.

As for your suggestion to call the lexus hotline, there is no number that I know of and the dealer here doesnt advertise any kind of hotline number.

After pulling a few strings I got the dealer to accept my car. I dropped it off yesterday to check on my audio problem and for my first oil change.

For my audio problem they said that they will do a diagnostic on the car to find out what the problem is. For that diagnostic they're going to charge me about $400!!

For my oil change, Im expected to pay around $200!

Do those prices seem right to you guys??

Hopefully by the time you read this, at least for the oil change part, it should be FREE..On the comp..It's suppose to be..My dealer said so..Otherwise your getting ripped off..

I had something like that i had my music really loud but all of sudden it went blank in other words silent and no sound came out until i restarted the car...not sure what the problem was

supposed to be free and any initial problems should be looked at free also. Think a call to another Lexus dealer or your regional Lexus service center is in order. Plus I'd let the owner/manager of the dealer know of your dissatisfaction with the service department..... You should not pay anything at this point in time IMHO....

^^^^^I guess you guys didn't read the part where he shipped his car from the U.S. to Kuwait and that there's only one Lexus dealer in all of Kuwait. Sucks!

Oh yeah! I did actually read about this..Dumba** me..I was wondering why he's oil change wasn't free..1st oil change is on a comp..

Other than the fact that I shipped my car to kuwait and because of that I dont have warranty on my F, I have the only ISF in this country

The ISF is not offered in the middle east.

I just got a call from the lexus garage, turns out I had a short circuit in my audio wiring which in turn short circuited the power unit in the my audio reciever. I'll be getting a price quote for its repair later today.
