I know we all love the ISF but its not going to be a monster anytime soon due to the tuning setbacks. If you want a monster buy a Z06. Max your looking at with an isf is going to be a 135-138(with good DA)mph car. If you decide to do a custom standalone EMS then hell, go for it!!!

That would require over 600 at the tires to be trapping in the mid 130's. Is there an IS-F out there right now with this power? How do you know the limit of the stock block? Has anyone blown one, due to power reasons?

no idea what the limitations are but based on how the car is performing, I would say it's around 700whp. DO NOT TEST THIS BECAUSE OF ME!!! And I really think it will only take 550whp on a nitrous setup to hit 130mph. My car trapped 124 in the terrible Florida humidity and I only sprayed the car from second gear. The car spun the entire gear and still trapped 124mph. IDE say if I went to VIR I could hit close to 130mph with a better tire setup.

Right. Didn't you say 135-138 traps though. That's why I said over 600... But yeah I think 550 would be a solid 130 and 600+ would be the 135's... When you throw headers on yours and hit VIR you should easily be low 130's. Get on it!!!

Is there any information about how much power/torque the transmission can handle? That is usually the weak link in an automatic.

Pretty sure no one's has or is willing to test this... That's why I'd be scared to run anything above bolt-on's (exhaust, headers, CAI when it's out and if it's proven valuable by Elite). I don't want to be the test subject with a motor at stake.

What does a new shortblock for one of these run? New transmission?

I looked into it, Trans wasn't bad... 3600 I think, and motor was around 4-5k for a long block I believe. I would love to get a car that we can test the limits on! I am also looking for someone to take the plunge and let me build a standalone! Already have it planned just need the car.

That is not bad at all. I hope someone steps to the plate and tests the limits on this car. I think that knowledge will lead to much more progression mod-wise with this car.
