Alignment problem. Dealer replacing LH/RH bracket.

Wow it's been so long since I've been on here! Just to update, I've been F-less since last Friday. I originally brought the car in that day because apparently I've had a nail in the RR tire that has been causing my air pressure in that tire to drop. It's hard to notice since the rear of the car, even at stock height, hides the tread well. It was the 2nd time the TPMS went off in 2 weeks so I figured there has to be something wrong and low and behold I lift the car and rotate the tire manually and see a nail in the tread.

While I was there, I went ahead and mentioned my alignment problem. The car always is leaning to the right. I confirmed that on many different roads. I had the alignment checked and done last month when I last visited for the "1k service". I again mentioned the alignment problem and they checked it out again. The tech tried several times to fix it and could not get it to spec. Finally, he looked online at the Lexus tech site and found in the flowchart to replace some parts with some updated versions to see if this will solve the problem. So here I am still waiting for the car tooling around in a loaner IS250. Dam I miss the F! Been spoiled by the power and features.

Anyway, once I get the car back I'll post details on what parts exactly were replaced. The parts are on backorder since they are pretty rare to make. I was just told they were LH/RH brackets. Nothing specific unfortunately. I'm hoping to have the F back by the end of the week.

Mine pulls right too!! I thought i was (a) imagining things, (b) it was windy (c) tire pressure, etc... but it is none of the above. Given that many of us are experiencing this same phenomenon, there must be and inherent problem causing these cars to pull right.
Can you confirm there is an actual tech update on the IS-F?
My car was pulling right, they swapped tires, side to side, and now it pulls left. I truly think it could be the tires. Maybe they need to replace?
Most of you may recall there was a TSIB for alignment/pulling issues on the IS350... link here:

I wonder if the similar problem goes for the IS-F???
Well if they swapped the tires and it's now going to the left, then it's the tires.

Possibly. Look at your VIN # and look at the last 4 digits. My car was one of the earlier builds, # 0299. This updated bracket affects the older, earlier models. I'm not sure what # exactly on the VIN this update would apply to.

I think I might have the same problem put on new Toyo's alignment is right on but there is just a very slight lean to the right not bad but it is there. And have tried it on side roads highway everywhere.
See my post above. :) Do keep in mind, a bit of caster is built in to compensate for the crown in some roads that is there for rain drainage.

My F drifts to the right also, and the dealer has done 2 alignments and is blameing it on the tires!!! AND NOW I hear there is a lexus tech update on the problem, I'm call them right now..... Thanks for the info guys.
Yeah, the first alignment didn't do anything. Then I came back again cuz I had a nail in my tire and mentioned the alignment again. He tried aligning the car several times but couldn't get it in spec each time and was running out of ideas. They also swapped tires too. Then I was asked if I could leave the car there because the tech found an update for my VIN#. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
The last 4 of my VIN are 2268 I guess I will check with my dealer finding time these days to get over there is not easy.
Well thank you guys for the info on this topic. I told my dealer what I read here and they listened. My F goes straight much better now. Thanks again for sharing what we have learned about these great cars.
My '08 is pulling right too. VIN: 00284 so it's even early than the op's car. Hopefully this will fix it.

Andy
I'm #1811. Not sure how "early" that build is. I'm running the car on JIC Magic's and it has a pretty significant pull to the right. I am sure the dealer won't touch the car due to the aftermarket suspension, though. :(
mine goes a little right, i checked the tire pressure and it fixed it a bit, but its still there
i believe im build #1749
im #0230 and im dealing with the same problem. pulling to the right. the dealership is saying my left wheel is bent along with the bracket ect. and they dont' wanna cover the problem. I've gone all the way up the chain to calling corporate and i've notified them about this situation that all of us are dealing with and they said they will get back to me in 2 days. I even told them im willing send them the link to this thread to show how many people's F's are pulling right. PS. they're trying to charge 2500$ for the left front wheel. i'll add more rant to this later cause im very disgusted with the service from lexus, im also considering trading it in after the problem is resolved mainly because of the service.
Rippo,
Lexus knows of the issue and should be in contact with you Monday/Tuesday. Let me know if I can assist further !!
Andy thanks for your help i didn't get to talk to you but my wife did and hopefully we can get this situation resolved. We are very dissapointed in the service here at Lexus of Las Vegas and it's pushing me to the limit of selling the F after this situation. Vegas has always been known for horrible service but the Lexus dealership out here is very horrible and we let corporate know about it. I love the car but im afraid if I have simple problems such as this and it's this big of a deal to fix then it's gonna be worse if something happens to me in the future with the car.
reviving this thread.
anyone else have to replace the brackets? I thought my new tires were the problem, but just got the front tires replaced again but I still get excessive pull to the right.
I had my brackets replaced (for Caster) and now the car drives dead straight.
im gonna be replacing it them as well when i get back from vacation. hopefully this fixes the other issues besides pulling. it seems my car is a lil lower on the passenger side and its more bumpy.

Can you please list any service information your dealer gave you for this? My dealer was considering putting the Michelin's on, but I fear it's more than just tires. This pull is constantly there.
Well if they swapped the tires and it's now going to the left, then it's the tires.
Could it possibly be linked to the rim? They put the whole rim on the other side, and I noticed LESS pull to the right when they did that.
Ok guys, I've read a lot about this and my car pulls to the right too... my VIN# is 4523 and this means that I don't have that bracket issue yet my camber and toe need adjustments according to the readings... The techs that saw my car told me they couldn't adjust the camber and toe on the F. What do I do? how can it be aligned? even the lexus dealership didn't know how to do it!!

Have you tried 800-25-Lexus?
Also, is your pull so much that you notice it to the right, even when on the left lane of a hwy, that is graded a bit to the left, for drainage?
Im not sure if it was mentioned earlier but is the F front wheel drive? Front wheel drives always have a mind of their own unless you keep your hands on the wheel. Well at least from my experience.
