if im not mistaken, the 5axis isf that was at sema...had the 5.0L stroked to 5.7L. and it made 550WHP, not bhp, WHP. i forget what video i seen this on but it was definately on youtube, and it was troy being interviewed about the car...
Actually that would be too easy. Lexus wanted to make sure the 2UR-GSE 5.0L V8 had a balance of power and efficiency. The IS F evades the gas guzzler tax. Fuel economy on the IS F is beyond what the M3 and C63 AMG can achieve. Both of those cars have the gas guzzler tax tacked on to their MSRP.We have seen the 7A-GE and 5S-G(T)E conversions do some serious honda killing. WHat about a 3UR-GSE? would a 3UR-GSE be hard to do because of the direct injection? I hope not. A 5.7 L V8 would kill the C63AMG in the straights and be a very fearsome opponent to a M3(not that the F already is). Stroke that out(and maybe bore, depending on the thickness of the cylinder sleeves) and you have a 6.XL everything eater. Actually, why didn't Lexus just make a 3UR-GSE in the first place?
It was stroked to 5.75L. The Five Axis Project IS F was present at "The Pursuit" Meet last weekend here in SoCal. Check out the video...if im not mistaken, the 5axis isf that was at sema...had the 5.0L stroked to 5.7L. and it made 550WHP, not bhp, WHP. i forget what video i seen this on but it was definately on youtube, and it was troy being interviewed about the car...
