Huh? Bye? Buy you mean? Anyway supposedly according to Edmond's(Bias Reviews on anything they don't like) said the car after the update with the Software it runs faster, rather without the using the launch mode it still get the almost same number..

Check out the review..Hope this helps!!
Nice thank you, but what about the everyday. Would it make it as a everyylday car? Was my spelling better on this one?
get the gtr without a doubt my buddy has one and its just an all around good car. im looking to get rid of my f and maby buy one next year.
Everything I have read about the GTR makes me drool. Now it is Motor Trend's 2009 COTY. I haven't seen one on the road, let alone driven one. Therefore, I wouldn't want to make a determination. I would test drive one before buying if you are considering it to be your daily driver. Jack, you have owned/driven the F. I would imagine that a test drive in the GTR will quickly tell you if it can be a daily driver. Just watch the launch control. I don't know if they fixed the tranny yet, but we have all heard about the voided warranty stories. 20k for a new tranny....ouch.

Go to the link I provided above that explains the warranty issue so its no longer a factor..

This is kinda funny b/c I'm telling this story as of now 3rd or 4th time but um last year around mid April(16 days of owning the F) I had a Nissan Dealer telling me about the GT-R asking me to trade the F for it..But back then I had no idea what the GT-R was till I did some research..
Long story short Around October of 08 I was literally inch away from owning a GT-R after I made a $30K deposit on the car but due to circumstance with my business and economic issue I had to get the deposit back(They took 5% from $30K)which was around $28,500(Not sure about other dealerships) but I'll say this, the car IS WORTH EVERY FREAKIN PENNY! at least I thought until launch mode issue which my dealer would not let me use..Perfectly understandable..
But now as I'm sure you read my link I posted the car is 1000% SUPER CAR!
I honestly would not drive that thing as a daily car unless it will be your only car..Originally I was trying to use the F as Commute car and GT-R as a weekend car but as I said earlier it didn't happen so etc....:(

From all of the reviews I've read, it sounds like the GT-R's ride is pretty brutal. I suspect the F might actually make a better commuter car.

The only way for you tell for sure is to test drive the GT-R, though.

Good Luck,

Jeff

GTR is nice but....

I have a 08GTR and a IS350 (which is about to be replace with an IS-F in a few month...). To be honest, GTR is brutally fast and fun but for everyday driving in traffic and city, I prefere my Lexus anyday.

I think we all know the positives of the GTR but here are some of the negatives compaired to the ISF. 1. Ride, 2. in town the GTR can feel builky. The Lexus corners well in parking lots, etc but the GTR does not. Often, you need to go back and forth and cut your wheel many times..... 3. Quality of the car itself. Lexus makes better cars - hands down. 5. Service. No comparison in service between Nissan and Lexus. 6. Lexus in Japan seem more flexible where Nissan will voild your warrnaty for the smallest things.

If you intend to take any long trips, Lexus is better. That being said, if you want to hot rod around town, country roads, GTR is a must as it is alot of fun and get's a lot of attention. But ISF is more comfortable and much better as a car in general. It all depends on what you want as they are both great cars but very different.

Is there something in particular you don't like about the F if you don't mind me asking...

Interesting stuff, thanks for that info, it's good to know!

Like it's been stated, I don't think the GTR would be a good daily driver. Service is another big plus going to Lexus over Nissan. Save the F for a daily and get the GTR for the weekends :D
Gt-r

I had a 350z and loved the car and have no doubts that as a car, the GT-R is amazing.
But i would never buy a Nissan again as i have never had a good experience with the dealers every time i took the car to service..and with a car like the GT-R, it is even more important.
On the other hand, Lexus does a first rate job with anything you throw at them.
I made a $30K deposit on the car but due to circumstance with my business and economic issue I had to get the deposit back(They took 5% from $30K)which was around $28,500

They shouldn't have kept one dime! No services were exchanged for your $1,500.00. I would not even think about using a dealer who tries to keep my money for nothing, and I would get all of my money back from them.
^^^^+1 here. WOW - who the heck do they think they are. Was this in writing - up front? If not, get you money back. $1,500 is an awful lot of money. In any case, report them to the BBB.

Actually it was..This was when I thought 110% sure that I was able afford it..
They had a separate binding contract where If the party cannot afford the merchandise in this case the Car, Non-Refundable .5% will be deducted from the original deposit..:(
Long story short I wasted mileage,Time, gas and $1,500.00 in the air all b/c my judgment was off at the time..Sort of like surcharge/inconvenience charge..

Lesson Learned folks! Make sure 1000% that you can AFFORD it before changing your mind! BECAUSE THERE IS NO TURNING BACK OR IT WILL BITE BACK!

Bro, I can almost match you in weight 175 at 5'7(Weight Lifter)but everyone is telling me to get the MR in Manuel otherwise I'll be cheating myself..What's your take on it? Also Lot of Magazines are saying about 5.0-5.1 in 0-60..
I can easily see why these cars does under 4.0 secs on 0-60 once modded..
ao3 i love the new manumatic on the mr i c nothing better about a 3rd pedal, espicaly on the track.vishnu can tune the ecu on the manuel with amazing results, but not the auto.the auto is 2 sec faster on track than last years stick,so its a toss up.test drive it n get back 2 me.love 2 hear your feed back.
