annoying silver trim around navi screen

the silver navi strim has been driving me nuts. it reflects light and wash out the navi screen. does anyone know how to remove it? i want to paint it black or put black tape to cover it up.

If someone out there is willing to swap their 09 center cluster with you or you happen to find one at a wrecking yard, you're in good shape. Unfortunately that screen bezel is not a part you can order separately. You can try to pry it off, but it may break off the tabs holding it in place.

I've been wondering the same thing. I'm sure it'll come out with a little finesse. I'll ask the guy that works on my car and see what he says.

In the meantime, you can see if Lexus can get the black one off the 09 F.

swapping with 09 system will cost way too much. i could paint it without removing it, but that will be a major paint job for a tiny piece of plastic.

wrapping it would be the best and easiest but to be done right it should still be pulled off the car.
