now that we moved and my dad ned a car we looking to get an is f but dont know whats the price on is f now. we dont care about what yr is the is f so any yr is good. I just did a quick research on craigslist the price is like 45k- 50k for an is f with 30-40k milage thats not the out the door price so if its out the door price its going to range 50-55k for a is f with 30-40k which is not a new car. I live in sf, any tips would help since im a is300 owner just want to get a little upgrade.
50-55K for a car with 30-40K miles is an absolute rip off. You need to follow autotrader and see the pricing trends.
The 2011's are going from 47K-55K. I would not pay over 54K for a 2011 under any circumstances, with the exception of the UltraSonic Blue color (their limited edition color that is IMPOSSIBLE to find).
Best deal I got on a 2012 was 57,000 and the car had 62 miles, but had red interior which I couldn't stand.
The 2010's are in the mid 40's now.
The 2008-2009's are anywhere from the high 30's to low 40's just depending on the mileage and condition.
Seems like in California Is F is around 40-47k out the door with around 30-40k mileage on it. The one im looking at is a 2009 USB color with 46k milage their asking price is 44k.
That's a good deal. Don't feel bad, I got outbid and missed a whole bunch. Heck one of my friends bought a 2011 UltraSonic Blue, probably the last one in the Bay area and paid 54K for it.
just got the car today. starfire color. msrp is $66980 and paid $55820 + TTL
63 month with 2.9 apr. I called and emailed to every dealer in usa. $62000 was bottom price except these guys. I am amazed! I was looking for 2011 or 2012 used car for mid 50th
I know I'm late on this thread, but I just purchased a 2012 series 2 in Canada for $63,000 including freight. That is $13,000 off the sticker price. I got a trade of $39,000 on my 2009 that had 35,000km's(it had brand new Hankook's. The dealership will do the brakes and put it on the market for $48-50,000. Up here it's not the best time to sell an F, but on the flipside, it was great time to buy a new one.
There are still a lot of 2012's out there. If exterior color isn't a priority, you can score a nice deal on a certified or even a new one. I've seen them from 54 to 57 K.
I'm currently working on a deal for a brand new 2013, $60963.
The first thing the Lexus salesman will try is the MSRP to see if you're an educated buyer. Don't even let him try this crap, the invoice is around 62K, go under invoice (if it's a new car) and see if he's eager to sell the car.
