: Greddy Exhaust
bchoi27 12-15-2008, 06:29 PM Here is my email and response from Greddy regarding their exhaust system for the IS-F from SEMA.....
My email to info@greddy.com:
Hi,
I have been researching performance mods for the IS-F for some time and noticed that there is not too many products out for the IS-F yet. I was really interested in seeing if Greddy was going to come out with an exhaust system for the IS-F? I know you guys did a system on an IS-F for the SEMA show, any chance that will come out for production? Please let me know as I am anxiously waiting.
Response from Greddy:
Thank you for your interest in Greddy Products. At this time there are no plans in mass producing this exhaust system. However, you are not the only one who has expressed interest. If you can generate 20+ serious buyers, then we may be able to do a Group buy. The price is not set, however it may be in the amount of $2000 U.S. If you are interested and can locate 20+ serious buyers via forums/ car clubs, please call 949-588-8300 for more details. Also, you are not the only one whom I've given this information to, try going through some popular IS-F forums. There might be a group already being formed.
So what say we try to get a group of 20 guys here to have them produce the exhaust? hehe.... :D
BigMikeISF 12-15-2008, 07:27 PM Wow, awesome job bchoi27, thanks for email them!
Would it be the exact one off the F? Titanium? I might be down for a GB, anyone else interested?
bchoi27 12-15-2008, 07:41 PM ya, i don't know if it would be the exact one (since the one from the show was tuned for the supercharged engine) but i am guessing it would be something close in terms of looks etc. i would definitely be down if we could get a group together. my guess is that alot of these shops are not producing for the IS-F because there just aren't too many of them out there and therefore, might not make sense for them economically (hence the 20 people min). come on guys... let's rally and get a group together!
Supraman16 12-16-2008, 06:48 AM I'm definately in!!...Darshana S...
ISF-88 12-17-2008, 12:03 AM 2000 seems a bit steep on pricing since other companies have made their exhaust around the 1400 range. I know it's Greddy but most of their other exhausts for other cars don't come near that price. Do you know if they will be making a exhaust out of titanium? If so I'd be interested.

I agree, 2k is a bit steep. The one off was titanium (flipside can confirm correct?) and if they make it like the one off, it would be titanium. Before dropping 2k though, I would like to know more specifics about it
drdoug75 12-17-2008, 10:26 PM I heard that beast and it is awesome! Will it pass California SMOG?????????????????????? If so I would definitely be interested!
bchoi27 12-17-2008, 10:56 PM don't know any specifics behind it... but if it doesn't pass california smog, there are a bunch of places you can go to that will pass the car for you. might cost a little more to do this but well worth it just to get the car passed imo..

Thats one of the biggest concerns after they removed the secondary cats. I talked to Joe-Z and he said he wouldn't know for certain until somebody tried to get their car inspected with the exhaust. I guess we will have to wait and see
dflores 12-21-2008, 05:33 AM wow! sounds great do they have layaway? :)
oarngemig 01-09-2009, 09:23 AM Hi, any updates on the Greddy exhaust system? Is it titanium? Has anyone contacted Milltek?
oarngemig 01-09-2009, 09:31 AM Has anyone tried Pipercross intake filters? Not yet available for the ISF though. I've had very good experience with them for Subarus and Evos. Drop ins but they make quite a difference, plus they are washable. I took measurements and placed an order.
For brake pads, I am a fan of Performance Friction. It just gets the job done, especially on the track.

The Greddy exhaust will not be produced at this time (the original poster of this thread had an email from Greddy). They said if individuals want it, they can get a group buy of no less then 20 people and Greddy will make a set of the exhaust but no plans to go into the market other then that. Yes, it would be titanium
cr85ir3 01-13-2009, 12:37 AM Im down for a group buy!!!
I wanna hear it on an F without a SC first thoughh
If someone is trying to get a group buy together, I would be interested in buying this exhaust. Also, I called HKS last week and they will not be making an exhaust for the IS-F.
crazee 01-26-2009, 04:15 PM aww no HKS... =( i hope blitz don't give up on this idea also...
BigMikeISF 01-26-2009, 05:38 PM Interesting but not surprising given new car sales and the economy that HKS will not be producing anything for the F.
Is this Greddy exhaust going to be full titanium or is it only the tips that will be titanium? I was asked this question on another board and thought it was the entire exhaust....anyone know?
Joe Z 01-28-2009, 07:26 AM aww no HKS... =( i hope blitz don't give up on this idea also...
Blitz has NOTHING on the table for the IS-F.. I confirmed that a couple of weeks ago..
No new parts, besides the Throttle Body Controller which works for a few Lexus models...

ISF-88 01-29-2009, 09:16 AM The Greddy exhaust that was on the Black SC'd ISF that was at Sema was a custom modified Spectrum Elite exhaust that was fitted for the Lexus is350 so I highly doubt it's made of full titanium. The Greddy Spectrum Elite exhaust is made out of stainless steel. I could be wrong though. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Gotcha. I appreciate it. I figured it was just the tips that were titanium but wasn't sure. Thanks!
asloudasitgets 01-30-2009, 06:27 AM so how do we get something going here, i want to hear it on a stock f without a supercharger also and maybe get some better angle shots of the muffler on the car.

You can shoot them an email to see if they have any other videos. You could also search youtube, maybe there is one on there without the SC.
jctheplaya888 01-30-2009, 04:33 PM So how many buyers so far are in for the Greddy's Exhaust? would the tips be the same or would they have to be removed??
I am in for a group buy on this exhaust.
Dark F 02-15-2009, 11:30 PM Guys, i'm in for a group buy on Greddy exhaust
asloudasitgets 02-20-2009, 06:55 AM im ready for one too, the damn stock exhuast is tooo quiet for 420 poines.
brattygirl72 03-05-2009, 08:14 PM I'm down for a group buy!
asloudasitgets 03-05-2009, 09:20 PM is there anything happening with this gb?
BigMikeISF 03-05-2009, 10:59 PM Someone interested in a group buy should start/gather a list of names of people willing to purchase this exhaust, contact each person via PM to make sure they still want to purchase it, and then approach Greddy as a group ready to purchase so details can be worked out
asloudasitgets 03-06-2009, 01:23 AM whos gonna step up and get this gb going?
Rickk 03-06-2009, 03:10 AM Why even start a GB for the Greddy system when the JOE Z true dual exhaust system is already available and affordable. let's poll how many ISF owners are running the JOE Z system and what their feedback is. I personally have been experiencing the system for about two weeks and am truly pleased!
ISF 5150 03-06-2009, 04:49 AM I dont know if anyone has started gathering names but I would be down for this as long as it is under 2K.
Rickk 03-06-2009, 05:22 AM The JOE Z system is way less than 2K. What is it about the Greddy that has such appeal? The JOE Z sounds great fits perfect weighs less and delivers dyno proven HP and TQ improvements of 22-24 and 15-18. Can you get more out of an after market exhaust system?
asloudasitgets 03-06-2009, 07:40 AM how much is the joez?
Fear&Loathing In IS-F 03-06-2009, 09:01 AM How is the drone on the joe-z??
BigMikeISF 03-06-2009, 04:25 PM how much is the joez?
MSRP = $1599
How is the drone on the joe-z??
No real drone to speak of. It has a great sound that is a clean, deep, throaty, almost muscle car kind of sound that is, imo, the way the car should have come from the factory  There are videos in a thread on here of an F with the Joe Z installed :D
robbys3m3 03-06-2009, 04:52 PM just installed the joe-z and love it..no drone and no complaints whatsoever.
Fear&Loathing In IS-F 03-09-2009, 01:08 AM Great thx guys...Looks like my first mod is about to be ordered
norcal-isf 03-09-2009, 10:13 PM Any of you guys with Joe Z setup live in Northern Cal - SF Bay area? I'd like to know where you got it installed, and would love to get together to hear it in person before I buy. Thanks.
asloudasitgets 03-10-2009, 06:20 AM i would too

There are a ton of guys up that way with the Joe Z setup. Joe Z is based out of California so I would PM him for info about a good place to install in North Cali.

Thanks BigMike, I'll do that.
asloudasitgets 03-12-2009, 01:53 AM i would like to know also, i posted this but no ones seems to want to meet.
atorres 03-12-2009, 02:11 AM I am also interested in Joe Z's exhaust system. How do I order it, how much is it and the shipping cost to Staten Island New York 10307? Where can I get it installed?
Angel
BigMikeISF 03-12-2009, 05:35 AM There are two places to order the Joe Z setup. l-tunedparts.com and Vip Auto Salon out in California. I would check with both of them, they both have good reputations. There is also a thread on here about Vip Auto and their customer service I would read up on. The MSRP on the exhaust is $1599, they are both selling it for that much as the group buy pricing is over. Not sure on shipping, I would contact both to see how much as well as if they, or any other members on here in your area, have an install contact for you.
