turbochargers.com 10-24-2008, 07:08 AM Okay guys I have been at the shop late tonight and the Artisan twin turbo kit is under way. This kit has been under about a dozen revisions but the final design is bada$$ and being built as we speak.
I have upload some teaser pics for all to enjoy...

BigMikeISF 10-24-2008, 03:21 PM Holy shi* I'm excited! Will the kit be in production after SEMA?

The kit is being designed and built in a way that it can be duplicated. We are not sure on the demand for the kit and it will be a little pricey. It is a very complicated kit to make.
The Artisan cat back tru dual exhaust is done as well as the Artisan Cold Air box. We should have these in stock sometime in Nov. I am sure there will be a press release on them soon.
thanks

PKROCKT 10-24-2008, 07:18 PM Any idea what engine management they will be using? A good tune is key to reliability and power!
just point me to the parts and I can weld up all that there plumin. Can't wait to check it at SEMA. Why not stacked cores instead of split?

Great news! Please keep up updated on here about the exhaust and Cold Air Box. Do you have any more info about the box? What is changed from the stock to yours perhaps or any more info?
Edit: you might want to start a thread to get a feel for the demand of IS-F forced induction ;)

goddam, talk about spool time. No room?
speedjunkie 11-22-2008, 06:12 PM Did they do Any Tunning on the ECU.
I have been working with Rick Squires on a Kit Since MAy.. I love the Copy...
Sounds Bad Ass..
BigMikeISF 11-22-2008, 06:20 PM ^Last I heard, none of the cars from SEMA have been tuned yet. They're all having a hard time cracking the ECU
speedjunkie 11-22-2008, 06:22 PM Craking the ECU is Not that Hard.. use a Piggy back like the DASTEK unit
Thats What we Used back in 02 when My shop Top secret had the First Turbo Tundra.
BigMikeISF 11-22-2008, 06:23 PM ^Well then talk to the companies about it. I'm just letting you since you asked and there's been no word on any company tuning the F ecu yet.
speedjunkie 11-22-2008, 06:23 PM There are So many variables in the ISF that it going to be a challange. im Waiting to get my kit to begin this process. I have and single and a Twin kit
going to come out real soon , and im sure Far Cheaper then the Artisan.
speedjunkie 11-22-2008, 06:25 PM I Dont have the Budget that Arisan had on the kit so thats my excuse for not Having the 1st ISF Turbo .. I think i posted Earlier in the Year when We bagan Building ours.. Too Funny//// But They did Awsome Work

Well keep us updated on your work :D A lot of people are anxious to see what kind of chargers come out for the F

They did amazing work and they could of tuned the ECU since I heard last but who knows! We are just waiting patiently for more pieces for the F to hit the market. They are slowly but surely coming out though
I hear in general that Toyota Ecu's are very difficult to crack..Is this True? or somewhat of a stretched truth?
Is so imagine the Supra's Ecu getting cracked for the 1st time..
BigMikeISF 11-23-2008, 06:01 PM ^^Heard the same thing. Due to the complexity of the ECU, its tough to tune apparently. Don't have personal experience with it but that's what I've heard :)
caymandiver75 12-22-2008, 01:54 PM As for cracking the Toyota ECU a guy named Andy from MHP has claimed to have done it on an IS-F. He just recently shipped the ECU/TCU back to the owner and should be receiving today. Hopefully tonight or tomorrow we'll have some responses and later a dyno and drag strip results.
Turbochargers.com you might want to contact this Andy guy as he may be able to help you tune this car. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-f/393424-ecu-upgrade.html

Actually I started reading the MPH post on CL, I stopped at page 26 it was too long. Kinda interesting how they got it done so quick but no actual results are being shown yet till the own dynos it after the 200 miles. Another question is is $4500 worth it compare to maybe getting the Artisan kit hopefully around that pricing or a little more for more then 20hp gain.

It should be interesting. Just glad he didn't charge for the 1st ECU tune to prove himself. Skeptically waiting to see what happens, but just if it's a go he may be of assistance for a "minimal" charge. of a measly $4500. :p
crazee 12-23-2008, 05:38 AM I think I'd spend the $4500 on Artisan's kit I guess you can say its LOVE at first sight since I was reading this about this article before the MHP ECU-TCU.
Dave600hL 01-07-2009, 08:58 AM Although the Artisan IS-F is one mean machine and a credit to those involved in the build I would never go the twin turbo route. If speed was all I was after I would reconsider but I just don't like the sound of the exhaust. (maybe the vid quality is bad and I am not hearing what it really sounds like.

I have a supercharged Tacoma and the ECU was not hard to crack at all - I have full control of fuel and timing. There's a company called Underdog Racing Development (www.urdusa.com) who makes a lot of performance calibrators and Fuel kits for Toyotas to solve the problems generated by the TRD superchargers. One of the units they sell is the MAPECU-2, which I was planning on converting over to on my Tacoma...I'm sure something like this would have no problems with the Lexus ECU as well.

There is another thread on here with information. It is for sale. I would do a search for more information. If I remember correctly, the guy's name is Brian Fox
pat.ross 03-14-2009, 02:26 AM Called today about the price installed. Quoted price is $15k for the remote twin turbo installation.
