Hi,

I have Tom's Throttle controller on my F for about a year now. Until yesterday it has been working off the hook. For some reason, my car feels like it is choking and doesn't move. The car also continues to shut down in SP3 mode but when it is off, the car operates fine. Is it possible a throttle controller can go bad? Not sure what the problem is. I also have Joe Z exhaust and K&N cold air intake.

Thanks,
Matt

of course it is possible that it went bad. Have you checked the connections? Other than that what if you disconnect it and reconnect it. The last thing I'd suggest is calling the manufacturer to ask about it.

good luck.

I had a Sprint Booster on another car that acted very similar when it went out. Hopefully, yours is something else.

Turns out all 8 direct injectors went bad and no issue with the TOM'S linear throttle controller. I believe I got some bad gas. The injectors were caked black...

Thanks for your help.

That sucks that your injectors went bad. How much does a new injector cost? Is it hard to replace them?

A warranty repair I assume?? Do they blame you for the bad gas!!!! Ouch!! :(

That would be a good question. Worth checking out.
