Does anyone know approximately when the 2009 IS-Fs will be out?
Thanks.

I'm guessing it will be in early 2009 since the 2008's were just released in February.

For anyone else in the same situations, I emailed lexus concerning a few questions about the IS-F, including when the 2009's are expected to be out and I was informed that it would be this August. :D

Not that was mentioned. I asked about the ventiled seats (since heated/ventilated are currently listed as standard equip on the Lexus site) and there was no clear answer about that except that right now there is only heated seats.

As a purist who thought prior to owning my IS F that you don't own a real sports car unless it has a manual, I've been re-educated by my Lexus IS F.

Yes, there is a learning curve and a period of adjustment and acceptence for this to occur. However while I still LOVE the control of the manual, there is no question that in a set of educated hands that the Lexus 8 speed is faster and has a ton of features that can't be matched by any current manual on the market today. I only wish that in manual mode that manual downshifting was totally manual, just as upshifting is, and not overidden by a computer chip. Maybe this can be upgraded or changed at some point????

The 2009's will start production in Late August and arrive by October/November of this year !! As of this morning, no changes from the 08's to the 09's !!!

Only thing they are changing in the IS Family is Lexus "updated" the front end a little....

thanks andy!

so no changes whatsoever yet? i'm hoping they do something about the alpine interior and the long-shot of adding cooled seats.

I know for a fact that in order to get the cooled seats, the seats that are in the IS-F would have to be re-worked, and the bolsters taken down.

As far as the Alpine Interior, pray for more white cows that stay clean ;)

^lol. i just wish that maybe they pretreated the leather maybe. gah, i figured that was what was needed for cooled seats. bolsters > cold seats haha

So they currently aren't cooled? I test drove a loaded ISF today for 20 minutes and I was told multiple times the seats had heat AND cooling. Come to think of it, in that 20 minutes I didn't really feel my ars getting cold, and the AC was definitely on (it's hot out here). Wow... that sucks, I really like that feature in the standard IS's.

I have a 3-month old 2008 IS F, and the seats are definitely NOT cooled, just heated. Dealer who told you anything else was wrong. Hopefully, you'll still give the car serious consideration, as it's absolutely phenomenal, despite this minor convenience issue.

Good luck!

Yeah well it's not a big deal in my book.. But definitely would have been a plus, I live in Arizona and it's 110+ outside right now. I did end up purchasing a loaded ISF yesterday and love it. It is very hard to drive it "easy" during its break-in period.

No need to drive "easy", just don't use your Cruise Control !!! Other than that, drive it like you stole it !!!

Yeah, It's been getting a bit of a workout. I am tempted to drive it up to Monterey, but figure hours of constant speed probably isn't a good thing.

I broke mine in on a trip from Houston to Ft Worth. Just kept it in manual and every few minutes downshifted from 8th to 7th to 6th and then back up. Was traveling at about 75-80 most of the way with revs varying from 1,800 up to 3,000. I now have aboiut 6600 miles on it and it seems happy.
